Hi Guys,

This is my first time using the high-level forums but I thought I could get some interesting discussion about some current events going on outside the game...

As some of you might know, there was an incident in Charlottesville surrounding an ongoing controversy when it comes to tearing down statues and other monuments that honor certain historical figures in U.S. history deemed not so palatable to some individuals.

President Trump recently made a comment about the slippery slope that the country might be heading to if this removal of historical markers were to continue...like who's next? George Washington?

Guess what?

I just saw this article titled "Chicago bishop wants George Washington's name taken off park in black neighborhood". If you are willing to chuck your most precious possessions like phats because someone said words like crashing/dying/quitting and then find yourself unable to rebuy for what you sold for, then you don't deserve to own a phat.

I used to think....other countries can tear statues down based on popular whims of the people, but not America!

I used to think....other countries can in modern times kill their own citizens over issues of race/ethnicity but not America!

Is America to become the next Rwanda (Hutu vs. Tutsi)? The next Bosnia (Serbs vs. Croats)?

Why can't we turn this madness off? Why do we have to escalate tensions and the inevitable violence? If you are willing to chuck your most precious possessions like phats because someone said words like crashing/dying/quitting and then find yourself unable to rebuy for what you sold for, then you don't deserve to own a phat.

By the way, let's keep the discussion civil. Yes, I know it's politics, but try to be constructive and not destructive in your comments.
