For anyone who frequents the gym, how do you keep yourself motivated to keep going down?

I used to go 3-4 times a week and did this continuously for a good 5 months but since going away on holiday and now it's getting dark and cold I find myself preferring to curl up with a blanket and stay indoors gaming instead. So would be interested to see if people have any clever tactics for making themselves go back :P

What keeps me motivated is always trying to better myself. You wanna look in the mirror and say: "damn look at that sexy beast" Don't try to impress others just do it for yourself.

If it is the weather. Try going to bed earlier, you will wake up with more energy. And some breakfast before you workout.

I've always done some kind of sport or physical activity that kept me motivated to workout. If you're actually working out to make yourself better at something with a purpose then I find you're more likely to workout than just gaining muscle to say you can lift.

Think of the long term goals, watch fitness videos on YouTube often and follow fitness pages on facebook. Seeing physically fit and muscular people would make you want to be like them (well for me anyway lol) ive been going to the gym 3-4 times per week on average for over a year now. If its crap outside and you compensating on going to the gym, just say fuck it and go, works for me. Finally, don't slack while you're at the gym; knuckle down and give it your all. Gains will be made brah
The feels you get after a nice gym session is nice, and also have good nutrition so the effort you put in was not wasted.
Don't listen to the sarcasm comments that everyone makes and just do it.

edit: one tactic I saw some people doing is note down whenever you go to the gym, eventually you'll have a nice streak going (hopefully) then you won't want to break the streak.

I followed mens health for their workout tips - sadly thanks to Facebook deciding what I want to see and not showing me everything, I get to see all the articles like "5 signs she's not interested" and "10 strange things your penis does" but none of the workout articles -.-

Because of work I have to go to the gym ~8.30pm now (giving time to get home, cook dinner and let it go down) but by that point I'm just so nackered now it doesn't happen anymore. And when I force myself down there, I don't have half the commitment I did months before to lift heavier and push harder. Really irritating because I can feel myself losing muscle mass now >.<
