I have known quite a few people myself who just one day gone and not come back ever. One girl used to know few years ago was gone for like a year then on for like 10 mins gone again then that was it.
But then on a bright side i have had friends who quit for couple years suddenly log in and message me and funny thing is actully remembered them somewhat.
And one friend after not talking to each other for like a year or two just randomly messaged me when they started playing again which at the time figured they prob would of deleted me anyways.
Sometimes i wonder what happened to the people used to know who just one day log off and not come back and never really know why..But then i wonder even if its something bad the knowing woudnt be as hard as the not knowing.Does suck for sure never really know why half the time.
I've quit for months w/o telling anyone. My brother pretty much murdered my computer once(long story) sooo I couldn't play for like 3 months since jag locked me out and my email was canceled for some reason.
I have disappeared for months myself as well (last time was like 7-8 months starting a year ago).
I generally try not to tell people I'm quitting since it both puts pressure on me to actually not login anymore (or so I feel like lol) and I don't feel like making a big deal out of it.
I did however login like once every month or so to talk to a few people so I didn't neccesarily disappear completely to some..
The majority of people 'disappearing' from RS will most likely just have quit the game, sadly there's also those that had a worse reason to disappear
One of my oldest rs friends I spoke to back in 05-06 ish and they quit shortly after the construction skill was released (can't remember, i think that was 06?). I spoke to them every day and would train my skills up and compare myself to them until the day I passed them in every skill.
They said no goodbyes and just one day stopped playing.
I kept them added for memories sake and I didn't see them again for 7 years. When they finally logged in again they only stayed for one day. Was nice to know they were well though.
A similar thing happened to another old friend from w42. One day they never logged into RS / no membership / never on MSN / phone number was not being used. They came back 3 years later a completely different person. Happier which is good, but nothing at all similar to the friend I used to have. :/
All the people I'm close to nowadays I have other ways of contacting be it skype / email / phone number.
Everybody cares about things that nobody cares about.
I knew one guy who maxed in like 9 months (in 2013), he was on 19 hours a day, when he went for 99 agility he did it in a straight 2 weeks of nothing but running laps. He played all the time, efficient as possible. He maxed, he played for awhile pvm'ing and other things.... then he went from 20 hours a day to 0 hours a day. I don't understand how people can do that lol.
"Why are you posting threads, asking questions and making discussion???"
Body btw
