what are we testing?
Just some custom background options. AoDude has been peeking at Linkify source and figured out some options.
You may need to update your extensions to see it though
Latest version is 3.1.9.52
Edit:
I need to sleep, but tomorrow I'll post instructions showing how to add your own custom background images to your posts. There are some limitations but there is also some flexibility in what you can do.

Very cool update, thanks
I'm a bit exhausted with forums atm lol. Taking a break, probably just exhausted in general. I might give this a try later on.
"Why are you posting threads, asking questions and making discussion???"
Quick guide how to add images backgrounds to your posts.
Only works on this thread, it's kind of a replacement for the gradient backgrounds that never came back after the forum re-skin.
The idea is to post an image link that can't be seen. RS Linkify will see it and use that image for a background in your post.
Here's an example:
[l
ink url=www.runescape.com
/t/
XCcRp9H
][/link]
Gold
= embedding options
Blue
= imgur ID (this only works with imgur .png images)
/t/
= Tile
/s/
= Stretch
/tl/
= Top Left
/tr/
= Top Right
/bl/
= Bottom Left
/br/
= Bottom Right
Just edit the the
blue
and
gold
parameters and it's good to go.
Combinations work, meaning you can include two links with different options. such as top right and bottom right.
In this post I have added two links, one tiled for the background and another to float a small pic to the bottom right corner of my post.
So that's the basics of how it works.
You can copy and paste the example link into a post and preview.
Some text is need in your post else the forums think it's an empty post.

Two friends, Java and JavaScript, are sitting in a bar late one night having a chat. Intrigued by their exotic languages, a steady stream of guys have been walking over to hit on them. However, they're all paying a lot more attention to Java, leaving poor JavaScript stuck in a loop back and forth to the bar.
After a few more iterations, JavaScript's feeling a little tipsy. Eventually, she plucks up some courage and asks the next guy why he's so keen on Java and not her.
He replies: "It’s nothing personal JavaScript, really. I just prefer girls with a little more class."
