Maybe this is it!

The last post I saw (from the web team) about website updates was a few months ago, and they said they were working on something cool and because of that fixes to other stuff wont happen right away.

It was actually a very funny post imo, here's a pic.

Heya :)

Really enjoy using Linkify! I've not really been on this thread before, so I apologize if this has been mentioned in the past, but I had an idea for a suggestion a bit earlier. I really like the "search posts by username" tool, but what about the possibility of a sort-of Control-F search? For example, searching posters' names for "Mod" to see if a JMod has posted on a thread at any point (without necessarily having to know specifically which JMod to search for).

Kinda makes one wonder how many bugs there are, if that last line really is the case.. Unless its just that fixing one bug would create 2 more bugs, lol

It seems like a nice little feature, that could go beyond the scope of just looking for Jmod posts, however I think it'd mean Linkify has to collect data from every single page in the thread which could be 10s or potentially 100s if stickied and this could slow Linkify down

I don't know for sure, but other suggestions haven't been added into Linkify for that reason.. Still, wait to see what Indy says before taking this as a "no", I could be wrong :P

Ah, yeah I suppose that would be a downside. :P If it would slow things down much at all really, I imagine it wouldn't be extremely valuable.

Hiya Erehk :)

It's quite a nice suggestion but I haven't been able to make a "forum friendly" way of doing it. Every page in a thread would need to be read and scanned and that makes for lots of hits on the server. I expect that would make Jagex unhappy. The fact that J-Mod posts are not common means lots of hits and work bring up a zero result.

There have been similar suggestions (J-Mod indicator) on threads to show a J-Mod has made posts on a thread. Again making it reliable and server friendly is my main issue.

I'd really like to do something like this, and it's an idea I revisit often. Maybe eventually I'll get something happening, but only when I can be sure it wont make excessive work for the servers that host the forums and wont impact performance :)

Indy, I wonder if it's possible to have a link or a button or something in the "My Profile" section to bring us to the Signature, which is allllll the way at the bottom of the page?
