Looks like Opera allows optional permissions too, so should be fine over here when you push the update out :) Thanks, Indy and AoDude, for this one

You can use the chrome.permissions API to request declared optional permissions at run time rather than install time, so users understand why the permissions are needed and grant only those that are necessary.

Oh if anyone is interested RS Linkify Version 3.1.9.13 has just been published.

It has an new option in Miscellaneous Settings for persistent visited link colouring.

It uses optional permission handling (new to RS Linkify) so it's a first for me and could allow me to provide some nice optional features in the future. If you don't agree to grant RS Linkify the new permission, it's totally cool and everything works the same prior to the update :)
