I always suggest things I think, sorry
Your suggestions are always welcome, as well as interesting and enjoyable to read. Plus they often give me something to think about (and often require lengthy answers). So don't ever end your posts on this thread with words "
sorry
".
Okay here's the thing, pre-reskin I was asked many times about making a theme for the classic forums. You're not the first one to ask about going back to the previous style. So it's good you asked because I'll no doubt be asked again.
My approach is to enhance what exists and build on that. I rarely make changes on a purely cosmetic level.
There are few reasons for this, some practical and some just because it's not my way. The primary focus of RS Linkify is functionality, that doesn't mean it stops there but it does mean that comes first. Currently the functionality side of things isn't close to where I'd like it to be.
Making and maintaining skins will increases some of my workload exponentially. Even if I was really keen to do it, I doubt I'd get far with it. I fear it's one of those never ending things. The thought of testing new updates is enough to deter me when considering skins. Things are quite different comparing pre-reskin to now.
I also have other reasons and they may seem kind of silly to some. I just feel the graphics and aesthetics are the result of someone's creativity and don't reflect the deficiencies the forums. I don't feel comfortable sending a message saying your art sucks. Even though that's not what I think or wish to say, that's how I'd feel it if were in the reverse.
I'm already harsh when it comes to readability, navigation, features and so on. I don't wish to take it further based on my taste or anyone else's.
For now I'll continue to work with what we have, and move on from what we had.
There is still many more custom options to come, so don't think it stops here

Hey Indy, how do I change links like this
http://gyazo.com/9de188ebfec2ba017772e58f43e7426f
to auto-matically play? Kind of annoying to keep having to open it.
As Lifer kindly pointed out, file extension is needed. Linkify needs to know what it is before attempting to embed.
There may be times when you don't want something to embed. Omit the htt
p:// prefix for any link/image/video and linkify will ignore it. The link will still work when copy/pasted.

Gfycat links seem to do this whenever i post them...
Oh damn, that's not good, I better do something about that.
Version 3.1.8.13 has better support for Gfycat.
Thank you Zamorak for making me aware not all were embedding
This is at a smaller zoom-size; all of these buttons and "submit button" and other buttons suffer the same thing. This appears to be at 90%. When I go to 100%, they look fine. When I go to 110%, the black lines re-appear.

Yep that's a rounding issue when the browser rescales elements. Things that have a background image sprite (like the buttons) are the most prone to that. Seems to happen in most of the well known browsers.
I could possibly redesign the buttons on the forums, but they wont look exactly the same as they currently do.
I might re-do the buttons at some stage but I'm not sure when.
Notice the spoiler button doesn't break, that's because I made it with a single image rather and sprite like the forum buttons use. So something along those lines is what I may eventually do.

Oh that spoiler image is a teaser for tomorrow's update btw
