I haven't been on forums today (until now) so I'll try to catch up.

@Sotox
, it's not uncommon after a forum update for the browser to re-cache the commonly used assets. I expect that's issue here and it's only temporary. However I rather people post and question these things because you just never know. The screenie helps lots too so thank you :)

And Nah I wasn't looking at post count, tbh I didn't know it was there at the time of my last post. I want a way to identify the author of thread, Amaethwr's suggestion is the direction I'm going in.

Last bit applies to
J3's
comment too (keeping the post count thing separate).

@Morgan
, Yes and no. Yes I replaced some classes (based on what they were at the time) on purpose, but I wasn't expecting a font size change. Linkify changes many classes, this is for a few reasons. To change styles, fix overflow issues and such. To make it easy for other people who code to see what's happening. To be able to work with them easily, and to be able to build on them. And in this case ensure forum changes don't break or clash with what I'm doing, it's easy to adjust if needed.

I'm thinking new display name font size isn't too bad, but the other text reminds me of micro-dots from 1060's spy movies.

@Vegeto
, it's not exactly obvious. I doubt I'd have seen it if I didn't know it being added.

@Amaethwr
, I support we keep that Jagex Moderator text :)

@Keighlea
, Oh yes thank you <3

Well it's not as small now since they did a minimum of two updates to the Forums yesterday. Although that image is very representative of what it was like. Right now I'm building the forums ranking system so that I know what is what.

The framework is there .post-avatar__figure .post-avatar__figure--rune , and here are the ranks.

Post Ranking

0 - 49
Bronze

50 - 199
Iron

200 -499
Silver

500 - 749
Steel

750 - 999
Gold

1000 - 2499
Mithril

2500 - 4999
Adamant

5000 - 9999
Rune

10,000 - ?
Dragon
(19329) //Ends at 19,999 or 24,999
? - 49,999
Sapphire
(25455) //Starts at 20,000 or 25,000
50,000 - 99,999
Emerald

100,000+
Ruby

I was wondering how the ranking system worked.

The ranking with gems isn't what I expected. Sapphire (? - 49,999) is up to 10 times higher than rune. I guess there aren't enough of either ores or gems to cover to all. There are other items that could be used but they may not fit into the runescape theme so well.

0 - 49 Shrimp
50 - 199 Oyster
200 -499 Trout
500 - 749 Salmon
750 - 999 Monkfish
1000 - 2499 -----
2500 - 4999 ------
5000 - 9999 ----
10,000 - ? -----
? - 49,999 ---- Shark
50,000 -----
100,000+ Slimy eel

Nice find Ryan M :)

If their idea is a ranking system to create incentive to post then I wouldn't be surprised to see them implemented those lil badges at a later stage.

Using box-shadows to indicate the postcount ranks looks pretty cool lol

Hiya J3,

I'm sure many would welcome something more visible like that. But it's not something I want to jump into right now.

I need to let things sit for a while before I look into things like that. I'm already undoing and redoing bits from the last forum update.

New update that looks to me unfinished and has been quite controversial. I'm focusing elsewhere for now :)
