I hadn't looked at his tweets since the J/F Mod background colour discussion. Looks like he's making good progress.

I still have lots to do, but I really need some working pages to play with. I figure when the update happens I'll patch up some of the basics of linkify and then I'll focus on getting my new build out.

It's all about the timing of the update. If I'm not very busy I'll get lots done quickly. But it could go the other way, and I may not be able to focus on Linkify as much as I'd like.

Will be an interesting challenge juggling between a current broken linkify, a new build, and whatever else life throws at me in my spare time.

I really don't want linkify to have much down time, but I'm not going to stress about it. I remind myself it's my hobby, so I'm just going to remain cool and deal with it as it happens.

Signature heads up.

I just saw this about signatures, I'm so looking forward to not having to worry about this stuff.

The font will be Adobe's MuseoSans500 for posts and saved signatures. Signatures will be a max 3 lines in height with a char limit of 200.


The 3 line/200 char limit is strange though. It has to be one or the other it cant be both, HTML textareas don't work that way. Depending on the text (in theory) you may be limited to less than 90 characters. That's a huge discrepancy.

Not that I think 3 lines (or for that matter 200 character limit) is unreasonable, it just should be 3 lines and drop the character limit.

Anyway, thought I'd mention this since Linkify will be dropping signature support and some people may need to change their signatures to accommodate the new rules.

Okay I just had a look at the polls and I see what you mean with the resetting. Even though it resets the link it generates is valid. I made a test poll to check.

It is confusing though, and it does feel like you're poll is lost even though it may not be. I'll will refer Blasty to your post and hopefully he can look into it.

When you mentioned this a couple months ago, how do you go about getting the link that it generates? It still refreshes it to a blank template for me, and I don't see a way of obtaining the information

Neither reset for me. But I was unable to make a poll using the rate option. My internet is really bad atm so I can't rule out issues on my end.

From what I can remember...

If the title isn't filled out that caused a problem. Even if it reset, mousing over the [embed] text still worked. However if freezes like it did for me using the rate option then that's not going to work.

I'll try a some more test polls and see what I can come up with.
