That gives it the same behavior but it might not be a good idea to change it.
I'm wondering about slimming the forums using mobile forums as inspiration but it looks like a lot of effort to move things around with the way the forums are designed.
I can change the placeholder colour, that's no problem. Yes slimming the forums down is quite a task. There are so many elements it's a headache.
I've been thinking if I want to expand much more I need to reskin the forums, and rebuild them from scratch. Kind of like what Meredith shows
here
.
Her idea has really inspired me, and got me thinking a lot about doing something similar. It's a daunting task though, but it could be well worth it.
Oh with the edit link, I can't work out why it's not working. The odd thing is right clicking and opening in new tab works. I'll get it sorted, just need more coffee
Edit: version 2.0.8.5
- Fixed the edit link.
- Changed the Text gradient and realigned it because by default it's not centered.
- Changed the placeholder text and recoloured the text.
- Fixed some buttons that were disappearing (I don't think anyone noticed though)
I'll do a refresh button and maybe hide some elements when refreshing/resizing tomorrow or the next day. After that I'll work on more page transitions

A vampire (I think). I found it on religious site that was going on about how evil women are. I thought okay I'm evil, so I'll took their pic and used it for my google avatar. Since then I've used it a number of forums

@Ryan M, Thanks for the feedback and sorry about your Tampermonkey scripts.
As for hiding forum specialist sections, the easiest way is edit local storage and add the names to 'forumchecks'.
I will change this though, currently the forum sections are hard coded into the options page. I will make it retrieve the forum sections weekly, so specialist forums will be listed. Also it will mean if forum sections come and go they either will or won't be listed.
I will be adding a proper bookmarks facility into the side the panel. I figure if I make the panel tabbed the bookmarks can occupy one tab for easy access.
I think there needs to be a sort of (whats the word, consistency?) between the FIS and the actual forums. You can go up a forum thingy (as in from a forum to the main rs forums thing) without reloading the actual forums, but going down into a forum reloads the actual forums. I think this should be changed. Also, the You have 2000 characters for your message isn't changing. Or is that meant to be for stickies?
