Just been discussing colours in HLF:RSD chat lounge, would it be difficult to make it so a colour BBCode is instantly placed in the reply box?

So that people don't have to manually type in their preferred colours every time, since only 9 are shown in the colour drop down thingy, despite there being over 140 different available colours on these forums.

I imagine it could work just like signatures.

I think she means people want their message to automatically appear in a custom colour, where the colour is set in preferences and it gets added to the box on preview/submit to change the colour of the text.

E: The ability to customize that list works too!

I don't like the idea of making it too convenient because it might be overused and each post might end up a different colour, and inserting colour tags on preview/submit might be annoying to code/work with because of quotes.

I think customizing that list is a good idea
