Would it be possible to pull the Refresh button down next to the Return to forum button?
I've added a button that kind of does this, it's not actually a refresh though. It actually works more like a link but gives same visual effect as hitting F5. I might make a few changes to it, for example it's faster to reload the page via the address bar and then use the scroll button.
This is because the browser won't navigate to the post until the page has fully loaded, yet my scroll buttons will work even if the page is loading. If you see how my reporting works with navigation to the text area you'll know what I mean and see that it's faster.
So what I'd like to do is reload the page then scroll to the last post, since I can do this before the page as fully loaded. Anyway this should work in the meantime

And I noticed the refresh button before I even made it to this thread this evening... Thank you for that
My pleasure, I'm still working on it. I'll have an update very soon that'll speed it up a bit more. Currently it can be slow depending on when page finishes loading. I've worked out a sneaky way to get around that. It'll be way more efficient than F5 type refresh, just testing it a little more then I'll upload it
IE has always been faster than Chrome from my experience. I only use Chrome for the apps (like Linkify) and other cool features IE lacks, otherwise I'd delete this piece of rubbish.
I personally find Opera to run the fastest on my computer, but not too many useful apps are optimized for it, Linkify being the most important

As far browser speed goes, that's a never ending debate.
I look at javascript calculations per second. In raw performance chrome generally comes out on top. However chrome isn't my favorite browser. And I think most browsers have strong and weak areas. It's not just speed, it's stability, ease of use, features, support for new technology, and so on. Getting the right balance of all those thing makes for a good browser imo.
Link to some browser test results, most recent I could find...

Edit: Version 2.0.5.8, is now live. You should see improved speed with the new refresh button.
