I used to use this way back in the day but since I started using Safari I haven't been able to, which sucks, but I just wanted to let you know that it's amazing how much effort you put into this and it's very much appreciated! (Also RIP me after seeing Mod Daezhun's name in the OP. Miss him. Didn't know he worked on this with you)
Hiya, Post.
Thanks for the kind words, very much appreciated
Yeah I miss Mod Daezhun. He didn't so much work on this with me in an official capacity. But there were times when we tossed some ideas around and some code examples. His help was awesome when the censor kicked in and broke every single link on HLF. Undoing what the censor broke went from a daunting task to an nice elegant solution largely thanks to him.
Shame V1 of this thread is long gone, that's where his posts were. I never saved a copy of that thread, I wish I did. HLF has changed so much since then. They were good times.

I can only hope that Zigzagpaul had a copy of his farming thread somewhere, and that one day he'll return and repost it
Hiya Amaethwr
I don't know if he copied the thread verbatim but he did say that he kept notes made from all the information that was posted over the years. The plan was make a new thread built on all the info he had collected.
Would be nice to see an archived version of that thread though, was a great read with some interesting information and discussions.
I just wanted to stop in to say howdy, leave a coffee on the counter, and say that I (might) be alive and well
-looks down at myself- Yup, seem to be alive and well but time will tell!
If you liked my rhyme please be sure to give this video a thumbs up and follow me on twitter and patre... oops, forgot I'm not some famous youtuber person for a second there
. Speaking of Twitter, how is yours going Indy?

Yep, still there. Pretty quiet but that's how I like it. Though since they changed some of the graphics it no longer shows (consistently) when I get a direct message. Fortunately I don't reply often to begin with, so that's no biggie I guess
Sure this has been suggested before, but would it be possible to set up notifications for replies on threads you had posted on?
It would be great to get a Windows notification when a thread I posted on gets a reply after me - would also need to be able to silence certain threads. Not sure what the technical limitations would be to creating this, though.

Yep been suggested and it is possible. The is problems server load from periodically probing every thread you have posted on for new posts.
I would love to do something like this, including notifications when you're quoted, when OP has been edited, and so on. It may be possible one day if Jagex release some tools for developers (a forum API would be nice). As of right now I don't think I can do it in a way that would be friendly to their server.
I see you mentioned being able to silence some threads, this brings me to an idea I have been tossing around. I was thinking of providing a small "watch list" that allows RS Linkify to monitor a few threads, polling them every 15 minutes or so and notify when there is a change. This would be more server friendly and maybe something I can try in the future.
There are other limitations I haven't mentioned such as you may need to be logged in to monitor some threads and things like thread title changes, locks, hidden posts may cause havoc with my app. Some things I simply can't cover without proper forum tools.
The main issue I have is that I can kind of do it, but I can't do it properly and that's what's holding me back.
