The border is a little tricky but with it totally removed the black body area becomes the background. Sometimes some border is better than none. I used your image and toned down the edges a little more. Was easy since you'd done all the hard work
There is a number of things that RS Linkify deems invalid.
Suspicious looking links. For example something that RS Linkify thinks will submit information. A link to automatically submit a post for you (yes it can be done) will be detected by RS Linkify and deemed invalid. Another one was a link that voted on runelabs when clicked. Or a link that will log you out will be deemed invalid. There are others, but the above ones are the most common.
If it looks as though a URL contains a script or code or invalid characters ( < > ) or strange combinations of double forward and double back slashes ( // \\ ), RS Linkify will also deem it invalid. Basically I just look common URL hacks and malformed URLs and deem them all invalid.
There are some other things too, such as handling the link in that post.
Without RS Linkify running, view that page and click the link and see what happens.
Also here's how that link looks in the console...

Notice the octothorp ( old fashioned word for # ) is the entire URL. When a URL looks like that it has a special purpose. It means goto an anchor point on the page, and will default to the top of the page if no anchor point is specified.
So that's why it is considered as invalid. RS Linkify cant see the real url only the octothorp and that's because of the limitations with the forum link tag. It only works links on the runescape domain.
There is lots of different criteria for RS Linkify to deem a link invalid and I have had false positives. But the amount of annoying and disruptive links (99.9% of them in forum BB tags) detected and blocked by RS Linkify outweighs the false positives. I have relaxed it over time and it is something I'm constantly fine tuning and improving.
I don't think of that as a false positive however, as it is broken. Also expired QFC's do the same thing. That allows RS Linkify to show you the thread doesn't exist. I see it a lot in sigs.

Thank you for your usual response Indy, to get a round it I quote the post, and then right click the actual link, which works fine honestly.
So judging by that, are there any types of links you'd like me to report here that come out as invalid? Or are you happy with how it's going? (just wondering so I don't bug you
)
