Update incoming: Version 3.1.9.69

RS Linkify now makes use of gfycat's oEmbed. All that means is RS Linkify can request video information such as dimensions and title without cross-origin restrictions. This makes embedding their content much easier and reliable because RS Linkify can prepare and tailor the code to suit before the video has even arrived.

I might make some changes to how it embeds, currently it embeds after RS Linkify has done all its other work. If this new method proves to be reliable I'll move it up the cue of RS Linkify's tasks to start the embedding sooner to reduce the delay. In the meantime this seems to working nicely :)

I cant reproduce it, though I know why that happens. The first to embed is the first to complete its http request. There is no guarantee what one will finish first. But I can prevent that from happening and will do so in my next update.

Thanks for the screenie and the larger of the two should be first :)

Hi.

I know they updated the forums lately so we can put imgur images in posts but i'm not quite so sure what's going wrong here. When I click on Select to Reveal , nothing seems to happen. When RS-Linkify is disabled it seems to load the images just fine when I click on Select to Reveal

edit: I checked this option Use RS Linkify embedding for imgur BB tags. in the settings and it seems to show the images without clicking but without it, it asks me to click to view and nothing happens when i do click it

Hi Chigz, thanks for the detailed post.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce this so I'm taking a stab in the dark with this update. But I'm hoping I'm on the right track, I guess we'll soon see.

I have just published RS Linkify version 3.1.9.71

This update will make RS Linkify add its own click handler to the " Select to Reveal " box and should eliminate dead clicks.

I have just published RS Linkify version 3.1.9.71 Oo so I just updated it following the instructions on the first page, looks like it could have been because of the version of Linkify i was running, idk. Everything seems to work now :)
