To be fair, Linkify is a third-party extension; it's not as if the image feature didn't work properly.

Edit: I was referring to how it wasn't compatible with Linkify right from the beginning, although I think I misunderstood and that you were more so referring to the 'select to reveal' box. :P

Correct.
Ah okay, my mistake. :P

In my opinion though, it's unfair to say that it needed to be rectified by adding a toggle. It's awesome that the option is there with Linkify, but just as it's a toggle, I think that it's a personal preference. I personally like how the 'select to reveal' boxes make all images the same size when loading pages/threads. :)

Something I've added to my own extension that I'm sure Linkify users would benefit from - drag-and-drop over reply box to upload to imgur. (Then generating the link in the reply box)

Might want to avoid the anonymous upload method though - with so many people using it, you could easily hit the request limit.
