If you are wanting to roll that item every 10th kill you would: 1/5120^N<- number of times in a row.

2 times in a row is very unlikely, 3 times is even more so, 4 times and I would bow down and pray to you as the true RNGeesus...

You can try this instead of trying to figure out the probability:

Say static gloves - 5m gp per

we'll take an average of gp/kill across 10 kills:

kill 1: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 2: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 3: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 4: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 5: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 6: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 7: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 8: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 9: 1/512 - 9765.625 gp
kill 10: 1/512 - 19531.25 gp (since this is doubled)

The average of the above gp/kill is: 10742.1875 gp

An average automation task size is 90, so it is 966,796.875 gp per task on average

Alternatively, this also works out as the same gp per task:

The above total gp every 10 kills is 107,421.875 gp

Since average task size again is 90, so that's 9 sets of 10 kills:

9 * 107,421.875 = 966,796.875 gp/task

All the monsters listed and all those not mentioned (cancel them) all work together as the most time efficient, not counting the fact slayer mask daily tasks are more efficient.

So what you have posted is correct.


It is only when you are wanting to know the chance that it also is exactly on 1 specific kill out of 10 (in this case the last, but it is the same chance regardless of the position in the 10 kills).

Recorded 147 regular and 2 elite Edimmu in 35:15 with melee. ~254 kills per hour.

I botched the elite kills a bit, and I'm pretty sure I could improve the kill rate to at least 270.

I think I'll keep trying to improve the rate before I upload anything, unless Potato on Rs would settle for a sloppy recording.
