There are better alternatives. HLF has been hanging on for dear life for 4 years at least, it was never really popular compared to other social media. Drama kept this place going.

It's not just this forum, or even just forums on this game. Other types of venues (social media, reddit/chan-style venues) have gained popularity over the past 15 years or so, while, at least from my experience, forums in general have been losing the popularity they once had. Forums are just becoming outdated.
