Idk. This seems more like persecution complex. I have had like 1* post hidden in all my foruming ever. It is really not hard to know what is appropriate and what is not.
*Make that 2 posts hidden lol just got one hidden for telling someone in RGU to fk off crying about livid point update.

ut HLF itself is becomming shit as well, with post hidden and threads hidden/locked cuz yeh fmods and others
..we can't even lock threads here. Any specialist forum is off limits to us for moderating. On the topic of specialist forum moderation, I swear you are the only one that requires moderation. CLF seems to function perfectly fine without a babysister....others are similar.

As to troll threads... if we use our judgement to close one, we're told we're being fascists and lock happy. If we don't close it, we're blamed for leaving it open. That's a no win.
This. In the case GW is complaining about in particular the supposed troll didn't break any rules, if I padlocked something for not breaking the rules I'd have all sorts of people screaming bloody murder at me (heck they do it when I do provide a reason!) and I'd probably be overturned.

I just popped into a lounge somewhere and an fmod had posted about this day and how it is election day in usa and they thought there would be more posts while usa were busy voting.
I posted
Peeps in....
Pops out.

2 minutes later, the fmod had edited her post removing any mention of an election, hid my post and told me...
No political promotion.
After she started the political posting???
So it's looking like fuck the game and fuck the forums.
you leave the farmers dog out of this!

As much as I'd love to hate on arch, and believe me I would, this isn't an Fmod issue that Reddit and social media like to portray... it's Jagex behind every Fmod having them enforce things a certain way on these forums.
Rules and Guidelines aside, it's Jagex ultimately running the Fmod's. Although there are your "special" Fmods like Archie here who thinks he's in the wild west and generally gives no shits about the state of a topic/thread.
TLDR; let's just remember to give Jagex a proper amount of hate where forum enforcement is involved.
"Why are you posting threads, asking questions and making discussion???"
You do know the thread you were bitching about on twitter to be locked broke zero rules and you only wanted it locked because you don't like the poster making this thread completely hypocritical?
You want one rule for you and one rule for everyone else.

Not sure whether you mean he thinks everyone else around him is lawless - which is hardly surprising, considering where he mods, and the sort of reactions he gets for doing what he's supposed to; I felt like that sometimes myself in my greener days - or whether you're suggesting that he himself doesn't follow the protocols as he should.
Which I can assure you he does. His modding decisions are just about always right. Just because the person actioned was annoyed by the fact that he did it or the tone he used when doing it doesn't mean the action itself was wrong.

Quite right.
