Just got Polishing 3 on my 12th try (same as Santa...The irony!) using x5 Protective Components. Thank you very much once again! It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation. ~Herman Melville

Don't know where to post this but here it goes. Wobbegong with polishing appears to be glitched. You are most likely not intended to get it, so when you get some with polishing it kills the spot, probably due to lack of code to deal with this event. When many players are fishing on the same spot, someone is going to get a sillago upgraded sooner or later, and that stops fishing for everyone. It's really annoying, at first I thought it was part of the design for the spots to move a lot but it seems to be caused by polishing.. Hi

Well, spots changing every 5 seconds with a few tens of people fishing with the perk is definitely not intended, so they would have at least prevented the upgrade from killing them if they thought about it before the release.

As for the fix, making the spots not die would be nice for everyone, but because we can't have nice things the sillago will either stop upgrading to wobbegong, or even worse, polishing will go back to being useless and it won't upgrade arc fish at all.

I don't think anyone on this thread or otherwised has questioned it, but does Biting do anything on bleeds? I might go test it and see if I ever get the Biting chat message when casting a bleed, but does anyone have an answer to that? And if it doesn't work, wouldn't that make the Precise 5 Equilibrium 2 Aftershock 3 Crackling 3 combo the highest DPS period? (Precise 4 Equilibrium 2 maybe better as well if P5E2 too rare?)

I don't think losing out on 3.75% damage that doesn't affect one ability out of all of them to gain 2.7% damage on all abilities including that one is a good option. That doesn't even account for the almost inevitable loss on precise. Even 4/2 is rare by the way.. Hi

But it isn't just one ability, for bosses without 5+ players (raids and maybe Vorago, where you prefer to not use bleeds), at least for mage and range, Frag/Combust and Corruption are some of your most commonly used abilities, and some of your highest damage abilities. Increasing the average damage on my Fragmentation Shot sounds a lot better han scoring a crit on my Tuska's Wrath.

I've always been curious about P5E2 for a myriad of reasons, like bypassing soft damage caps (Nex and KK come to mind) just like the Equilibrium aura, last hitting low health monsters to reduce overkill loss just like Equilibrium aura, and the huge fact that you would have a free armor gizmo slot, while getting very similar DPS. So I'm very skeptical, and looking for any excuse to go for P5E2 or P4E2.

I'm trying to perk out my other account so this is a good time for me to review perks and make sure I have the actual optimal gear rather than just "what everyone says is best". I'd rather figure that out beforehand so that I don't need two sets of noxious weapons + t90 armor (one for with Biting on armor, one for without).
