Does aftershock reset its damage counter if you swap targets?
No.

does damage that you inflict on other enemies through AOE abilities count towards the 50K damage
Yes.
Aftershock does reset if you change weapons, though. So if you are using it in a dual weild scenario you will want to put Aftershock on your mainhand so you can defender/shield switch without losing part of your 50k stack.
Thanks.
I knew about the weapon switching but I wasn't too sure about target switching would interfere with the perk's functionality.

4 zamorak and 1 zaros is more chance to get impatient and devoted together. Although with that, there's no chance to get devoted 3 with it but meh
Yeah it's really annoying, I got lucky on my first gizmo but then made 5-7 with only Impatient 3, gave up and just settled for devoted 3 using sara components lol
does aftershock only work on static targets? i haven't really payed attention but i feel like when it procs on a moving target they don't take the damage from it. reminds me of some of the god book effects, kinda dumb imo.
it makes sense based on description and i feel like they just copied it over from a god book. i'm curious if it breaks when the target moves at all or just when it moves outside the explosion range. if it's the former, which i think it is, it's definitely bugged.
You could test it at GWD2 if you wish, kill 6 monsters (they're 8k hp ea I believe), then have your friend walk a melee foe as you kill it, see if aftershock works.
