All these frustrations resonate with me so much. But I disagree with people's dislike of the multiple cape proposal this replaced. The separation of the capes and utilizing a legacy version of the capes as they currently exist was a perfect combination that achieved utility, separated combat from skilling, and still awarded those who wanted to do all three major categories. It was an update that although faced opposition, Jagex could at least provide rational insight into their reasons for implementing the change.
I've not kept up with the RS3 updates, since I no longer play that game. Can you elaborate on the split capes for me, if you wouldn't mind?
Was it like a Gathering cape, Artisan cape, and Combat cape? I've seen that idea thrown around a few times, and thought it had some merit. Sorry for being a noob if that's not it
Please enlighten me.

There was going to be lore, reaper, skill, completionist (and I think minigames? can't remember) capes. Split into 3 tiers, so that each playstyle will have some endgame goal to look forward to. Tier 1 being just having the bare basic requirements relevant to the cape, tier 2 covers many more aspect relating to the cape, tier 3 being super hard to earn cape with many insanely difficult or very RNG or really time consuming reqs.
You can think of quest cape being t1 lore cape, master quest cape being t2 lore cape, and t3 will have more reqs on top of mqc.

yea, you should have quit that game 6-7 years ago
+10 to post. Comp Cape was supposed to be an elite cape only few could wear. Now since it is so easy to max and material, on requirements, is basically easy. It is time consuming but easy. Loads obtained cape. It basically means nothing now.

Wonder how long until vit is removed from IFB. The casuals are taking over since majority of the good players left for 07.
Trim has no value anymore, so just boycott it and don't wear it. It's kinda like green warden, the only people who actually wear that title paid someone to do it for them, just like the only people who will wear trim are the casuals who got it after the nerf.

I disagree, Max may be relatively easy, but comp isn't meaningless. That's just unhelpful cynicism.

Ifb should be added to trim tbh.

They are removing castle wars req and replacing it with better and more consistent requirements that fit the game.
1.) I'd support say halving the grind time, which is extreme, before its removal. That or leave it untouched and just
Add
"better and more consistent requirements that fit the game" like just add them, don't give us this rework thats not really a rework more like a nerf with the promise of small tweaks and reworks someday crap.
2.) Final Boss: Yes, all day long. Requirement to defeat all bosses in a hard mode? Absolutely. IFB: No. Only reason being the title has a lot of RNG surrounding it farming kills for pets. I personally think requirements should to a degree exclude heavily RNG based requirements.
That's my opinion mind you, I just don't see, to quote you again, how IFB (and namely that title alone) can be considered a "better and more consistent cape requirement that fits the game."

I really wanted that t3 skilling cape 120 all thing I'm not there but would have been a nice goal
For something like Trim, I'd support 120 all. (myself personally) most with Trim Comp are almost at that point anyway. Add skill based requirements besides Maxed, that's cool. Don't over-complicate things with a bunch of "mini comp capes" representing x, y, z, Baloney.
