The stats on trim would have to rival a weapon to match the time spent getting it...That would probably be a bit overwhelming for a cape....
if it had the option to have a customizeable trail id get it....
I would like to get the comp cape, for its look, but sadly, that will never happen... Too many high combat requirements, which I just can't do.

Exactly my point. Neither cape should be buffed.
I think there's room for improvement. No one's saying it should have 999 damage bonus, but it certainly could be better than it is now. It'd at least make getting it more worf it over Max cape.
Who needs comp capes other then people who pvm 20 hours a day. It's almost 2k17 it's all about 120 capes now
But honestly giving up on keeping up with comp cape was the best discussion I ever made on this game. Made the game so much more enjoyable for me.

I always like to wear the best cape i can, so instead of my max cape I wear the kiln cape depending on what im doing, when i have my comp back ill be using that again. Its good to go for if you have nothing else in RS to do, and to your other question what else can you do, i suggest skill and boss pets

Yeah, I can't combat either. I need a Private Combat School cuz the Public one isn't teaching me anything valuable. None of the secrets are being revealed to me.
its worth it for the dung spirit cape bonus and ava arrow collecting if u use famils and range a lot i suppose, and coz what else you gunna do after u max?
get 120 agil cape? pfff
edit: so many people saying "best thing i did on RS was forget comp cape exists, now i feel free to do w/e i like"
thats exactly how i felt when i turned off virtual levels and xp drops and forgot XP existed

Honestly it's only worth it if you care about the ever-diminishing amount of associated prestige. From a stats perspective as many others have said, it's probably not worth it unless you're hardcore PVM. Jagex has a bad habit of going through these stretches where you can go an absurdly long time without the cape (e.g. new skills). If you let it matter too much to you, those periods can be really frustrating.
I've maintained mine for ~2.5 years now, but honestly there are a lot of days where it's just a chore. The stretches where I had to go back to max cape, I noticed almost no difference to my gameplay. Some people miss the comp teleports, but both max and comp have the most useful teleport (Max Guild) in common.
