Ye last time they did a line test, said there was a fault and sent an engineer. He arrived, spent 3 HOURS checking my property and the street cabinet and found NOTHING. He claimed the hub was faulty and said to wait for another to come so I did and no, it's still the same.

Called sky again today, they did not one, but TWO line tests and confirmed there was a fault and have booked for another engineer to come tomorrow so god knows what exactly is wrong.

Usually a fault on the line results in reduced speed but maybe fibre connections work differently. They always tell me to reset my modem and router, that has to be the most annoying when you've tried that 9000 times.

They never admit it might be their problem as they don't want to lose customers, instead they just string you along saying it MUST be on your end that the fault is causing problems, best advice I can give is just switch services, a lot easier than going through all that tbh.

also gotta love how they say "we'll call you back in X hours/mins" and never do rofl.

Said he was going to call back at around 4pm to check if the internet light has come on (which obviously it won't) but never did.

I'd assume they're just wanting you to ring them back again & hope it isn't them dealing with you this time, companies like to throw the responsibility/blame around. Whoever was on the phone to you prob just didn't want the problem of actually helping whilst still being paid lol, after they've asked their scripted questions they're stuck (lets face it, most of the call center people don't know anything about the products they're supposed to know about).
