Linux is a tricky os. Try the following
1. Make sure you have java installed
2. See if u can use a different browser
3. Go to your browser setting, and see if there's something preventing you from playing.
4. See if your graphics card can handle runescape.
5. If none of the above work, look at other peoples thoughts.
If none of this works, see if your computer can use 2 hard drives, install the hard drive yourself or take it to a computer store if so. Get windows xp or 7. And try it then. A hard drive should only cost about $20-$30.

Ideas
1.Outfit competition, could be judged by a couple of Mods with various categories
I.Wealth
II.Reletivity to Skills (apron, chefs hat, cooking gaunts and cooking cape is cooking skill)
III.Skillers
IV.Contrast
V.Best P2P outfit
VI.Best F2P outfit
VII.All in all best looking outfit
2.A world dedicated to 'manhunt' where 1 person starts off as 'it' and if someone else is 'tagged' they are both 'it' and as more people are 'tagged' more people become 'it' maybe played on a smaller map, limited areas etc. as the number of people 'not it' increases, so do the rewards once 'tagged'
3.Screenshot competition, every month one is chosen
4.Caption Contest, every month send a the picture that won the screenshot competition and let us Players make a caption
Please tell me what you think :) (ps first forum post was it 1337 or what ^_^ )

I think a Runescape TV Spoof would be a good Idea, the best 3 Minute TV spoof.
I have a few Ideas.
I have a really good one, but I'm not going to say, here's one I just thought of.

ok my idea is who ever can look like the oppiste gender the best without chaging their gender. funny and crazy the winner gets a ying yang ammy like the make over mage and same powers.
