I've got some ideas for competitions, sorry if any of these have been suggested already:
>Quest Storyline Competition:
Summary: Players have to create a storyline for a short quest in a more quiet area of Runescape, such as Rimmington or Edgeville (so that Free Players may benefit too).
Similar to the Gallery Competition, players will be given some criteria they must use in their story:
-Quest Start location.
-Key NPCs to include.
-Quest Ending.
The storyline in between the start and end of the quest is completely down to the players. The skill requirements and rewards would be decided by Jagex.
The competition style would limit the winner to one player though, so maybe Jagex could offer 3 or 4 options, and pick one winner for each quest?
>Music Competition:
Summary: Players have to write an atmospheric tune to suit the theme of the competition.
Jagex will give an environment such as a tropical jungle, or a dark cave, or the summit of an icy mountain, and players must create a tune that is suitable for the associated location.
>Boss Monster Concept Competition (written):
Summary: Players must create a new and intimidating Boss Monster that will be available to Free Players.
The competition could be completely open to player ideas, or it could be narrowed to suit certain criteria such as:
-It must be related to the element of Air.
-It has the ability to summon minions.
Jagex can then pick one, or several of the ideas submitted.
>Boss Monster Concept Competition (drawn):
Summary: Players must come up with the appearance for a Boss Monster that fits the provided description.
Players will be given a brief description of the Boss Monster's behaviour, attack style and location. Players must then use their artistic abilities to generate the Boss Monster's appearance.
