Can you delete the Emo haircut.
It fails and it doesnt add to the medievil aspect of gameplay.
How does having a "scene" haircut make it into a "medievil" game

Ive played runescape since 2001. Not on one account obviously.I don't see the point of this style

Just droppin' as voted :D by, this poll helped me realise the kind of player I am, and how I see this game. Good poll, I do em all :D

Take care

P.S. and TY FOR READING

I have a question, one that lets be honest, EVERYONE would want answered, or atleast voted upon.

I noticed, that so far, the majority of players who play this game, are of 3+ years. saying that, means that a lot of players are "mature". now, my questions to you jagex, and one I feel would make one of the most successful poll questions ever is:

Would you consider making a toggle feature on the filter, to make it maturer?

would you make the filter toggle apply to more mature, older age groups (18+ who's D.O.B's have been in registered with said accounts for 2+ years)

I'd feel, this would make the game seem more mature, and for older people whilst maintaining safety for minor, younger, new players from seeing any mature language,

OBVIOUSLY harsh, unreasonable words such as the F word and such would remain banned, but other words, such as the S word, or the B word, maybe not being as harshly filtered.

these would make great poll questions

thanks agian for reading, jagex, Yours, Sir akrate

I'm just posting because I promised in the last question of this week's poll, "What's My Motivation?" :)

I've been playing Runescape for over 7 years now, and I've been a member for about 2 years. (I'm currently a member now, even though I don't have a forum avatar).

I'm definitely more of a casual player. I'm older now, so I certainly don't have the time that I once did to log into Runescape. I think one of the things I enjoy most about the game is its downright silliness, especially during the quests. There are times when I'm sitting there working through a quest and literally burst out laughing in my room at some stupid pun or some really absurd thing that happens.

I think the juxtaposition of the really serious with the really ridiculous all throughout Runescape gives it a unique flavor among online games and makes it that much more enjoyable to play.

I also enjoy talking to people on the game. I don't really have enough spare time in my life to join a clan, but I do enjoy meeting and chatting with random people that I meet on my adventures, and also catching up with some old friends.

What I don't like so much is skill grinding. Like I said, since I don't have a whole lot of time to dedicate to the game, I'm not a fan of sky-high requirements for quests, etc. And I sort of resent how the attitude of the game is shifting towards "expecting" people to have very high levels.

On that topic, although I still enjoy playing Runescape myself, it is no longer a game I would recommend to a friend. Back when I first started playing in 2003, I introduced several of my friends to the game and we really enjoyed playing together. However, because so much of the game is now geared towards high-level players, and it is almost the expectation that people are going to try to level up to 99 (which is incredibly time-consuming, even for an "easy" 99), I no longer feel like it is feasible for a new player to get established here.

It's still fun for me to play, since I've built up my levels slowly over the course of many, many years. Thus I'm not as daunted by most of the requirements for various things, since I already have decently high levels and most requirements I don't meet are not *that* far out of my reach. However, for a new person to join the game and face the prospect of having to obtain all those levels, I think it's a bit of a turn-off and they're less likely to want to stick with the game.

Moreover, I don't really think it's fair for me to show a game to one of my friends if I know that he or she is going to have to spend literally hundreds of hours grinding a skill in order to get the most out of the game. That's not being a good friend. And personally, I think the changing player landscape of Runescape (where there are lots and lots of super-high-level players and very few completely new people signing up) is partially why there are so few new people joining Runescape nowadays. By the way, I don't consider an old player making a new account (like a skiller or a pure) to be a new player. I'm talking about totally new people who have never experienced the game before.

If you look at the poll results, only about 2% of your players have been playing for less than a year (187 people out of a total of 8272 votes, as of my writing this). I feel that is partially because much of the attitude of Runescape has become hostile to newer or more casual players. You can see that even on the forums, when people put up opposition to changes like the Constitution/Life Points change, even though it would make the game more enjoyable for newer players. Another example is when people complain about updates made to the free game. Personally, I think the free game is the life blood of Runescape, because all the new, fresh people coming into Runescape are going to start off in the free game. I don't know about most players, but I've been a member for several years now, and I *still* haven't taken advantage of all my members' benefits. So if you want to use my monthly subscription to make improvements that *everyone* will get to enjoy (free and members), then be my guest. :)

I'm sorry these last two posts turned into a bit of a rant. I just wanted to use this opportunity to point out some aspects of the game and the player landscape that I think it might be helpful to keep in mind as you move forward. I still enjoy your game a lot, and hope to enjoy it for many years to come. :)

(But if you EVER raise the level cap to 120 for any other current skills, I will quit this game in a heartbeat. Just sayin'...)
