I would love to see voice chat run by jagex that everyone can use.

I have a remark about the poll, I use several programs of voice chat, for clan events I use teamspeak or ventrilo, for smaller groups I use skype. The poll allows you to only select one.

I for one think this is a brilliant idea, although you should fix the lag problems we already have first, as my laptop is getting slower everytime you update the game.
Back on topic, if you do make this update make it like a clan chat sort of thing, or give it its own little tab, and with that being said make it so you can invite who can join the chat, as people would just enter and yell/scream/swear/etc. My clan just recently made our clan chat public so anyone can talk, I would rather not have that ruined, especially for visitors of the chat.
One last thing, make it so when someone talks you see who it is, simply so we can kick them if needed.

hope it doesnt turn out to be a limit of 5 players max only with no configuration at all (can join any voice chat without an "admin" or so).
Make it like teamspeak, well this is runescape so make it like 100-200 players (for clans) that can join a voice chat, with configurations like a clanchat (kick/mute options for higher clan ranks), or even better to make it like teamspeak/ventrilo, that you go out to runescape homepage and can create your own server (not just one channel), but that would cost alot lol.

I got a turtle beach headset that would be great to use if this option is brought to runescape, the feature should be ftp as well as p2p I know a lot of ftp friends I would enjoy speaking to while I skill or whatever.
I can see this update comming out and jagex will make a runescape headset lol!! I find it quite funny but none the less profitable to them some how.
You shouldnt have to pay for this voice chat, If you make it where you have to pay for it.. I will probably just continue using skype.
I personally think some kids around the world such as australia already pay to much for members, but they want the benefits so they pay the bill any ways.

In my opinion, the voice chat is a bad idea, and here are the reasons why.

1: They would make obsolete already existing programs such as Ventrilo/Skype/*** Messenger etc.
2: The increase of inappropiate behavior, such as cussing or flaming [even though you can already do that with the new censor update]
3: It would completely just change the way of the game in the way that, at first it was meant to be for 13+ years old if I recall correctly, but the majority are usually 16+ years old. Boys will be boys, they will get mad, cuss flame etc..

All in all this is an opinion, there may be more pros than cons but I stand by my opinion regardless.
Hope it all goes well in the end.

Let me point out that not all of rs community are male,
As I am a female player and am tried of people saying girls dont play runescape!!! WE DO!!!
Believe it or not, a lot of females play runescape and it doesnt matter what happens to this game there will always be "BAD" behavior you cant stop any of it , only try to prevent it. I wish boys would stop being so "racist" towards female players.(I say racist because the other term in which I speak of would get starred out.)
But I think that, "bad behavior" should not effect weather or not this update happens.
If you dont want to hear people or talk to people then simply dont use the voice chat!!! SIMPLE AS THAT!!
Stop ruining good updates with stupid reasons.
Don't get me wrong your alloud to have an oppinion, but if you dont like an update simply dont use it.. this update has many beneficial factors that people are ignoring because they are afraid of some little 13 yr old calling them a noob...Ect.
