I'm opposed to this for many reasons:
1) I'm hearing impaired and cannot hear everything people say to me without also reading lips and even then I miss a great deal.
2) If this will increase the cost of the game, it's not worth it. Part of Runescape's appeal for me is the low monthly rate.
3) Adding this feature is going to make the game lag or crash even more than it currently does.
In the event that this "update" comes to pass, please keep the text/typing option available to people like me who can't hear well and also don't wish to run out and buy additional equipment.

I like this idea as long as it's completely free and is as far from mandatory as possible. Having a built-in host to the game would lessen the lag that Skype/Vent can sometimes give me. But I also don't want to "have to" enter someone's call to go kill Nex or DG in a team. I'd rather only use this when gaming with irl friends or close in-game friends.
(Assuming it'll be like a clan chat using voice) Who's going to moderate the voice chat? Will it be uncensored? I'll already censor myself in respect of others in my household, but what about those who don't care? Should we have to listen to them? I'd prefer it to be unfiltered, though, because I don't want to you guys to have to spend time away from the actual game to take immature people out of a service only mature people should be using in the first place.

Hai Guys at Jagex!! This would be great!! Please make it work for Clans also. I would love to not have to use Skype anymore when our clan goes dungeoneering and PVP, stuff like that!!
Please Jagex!! This would be the best update of all time!!

This is a great idea :D I have some sugestions:
-Please give us the ability to mute players
-Disable voice communication in places such as the ge to avoid massive lag
-When a player is talking if it's possible to have a icon that he is that would be great in order to mute him if he is making noise

That is awesome, me and all my friends use skype for god wars and clan wars, pking, you know stuff like that, it's perfect for this game and it will change the way most kids play the game. not me though i will be able to ditch skype and just talk on runescape witch is very appealing. So yeah great idea please do it, it would be highly used by me :)
A good idea would be to have it for clan chat and friend chat to prevent spamming and lag. Giving public chat a voice in my opinion is a bad idea. voice chat for clans a friends is the best idea since free trade a old wildly back, I know that that's not a lot of time but hey you guys are not gonna beat that update for a long time.

Please, don't listen to this guy, he doesn't know what he's talking about, and I'm sure you guys are skilled enough in the art of programing to pull this off with out it overloading the servers anymore then they already are.
I really hope you guys are reading these posts because it seems that a lot of people use voice chat and all those people want to see this happen. So um yeah that's all i have to say about that good luck Jagex, and may my influential words lay at the forefront of your collective cerebral cortex's.
