Banning someone for off-game/site activity is always extremely stupid.
I'm not defending the guy but judging Jagex by their stupidity.
This should never happen.
Doing so while streaming Jagex's game directly and poorly reflects their game itself and they are completely within their right to ban him for doing so, especially since he is breaking (or appearing to break) real world laws at the same time.
ToS clearly state all User Content:
""Must Not:
> be obscene, hateful, inflammatory, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit or deceptive or fraudulent in anyway;
> promote violence or discrimination, promote or endorse any illegal activity or otherwise be objectionable""
""User Content" means all information of any kind (including text, images, video, information and messages) uploaded or sent by users on or in connection with Jagex Products."
At this point there's very little room to argue it.
Breaking twitch ToS, sure.
Breaking irl law, def not
Trying to get someone to kill themself isn't illegal where you live?

So where is all the bans in game for everyone that streams minigames content and says “kys” all the time? Hell even more so most the community says it. I get it you all at jagex care but you can’t take this how you all are. Otherwise you’ll have to ban the whole community and have a dead game title. Maybe next time get the full story like the police would before pre judging the guy just because the snowflakes on reddit said so. Last I checked this game wasn’t run by reddit... and to all you saying good he got banned, grow the fuck up and stop acting like pathetic pc wimps. Quit taking life too goddamn seriously and take a joke for once.
Seriously making that comparison or trolling? Think about the difference between the situation that happened and the one you described...
Why are you so upset?

She didn't even hear it so a bit unjustified
You're a moron. Whether she heard it or not, it was live streamed to many people and sets a precedent that it is okay to joke about those things, especially with those who are actually struggling with depression and suicidal tendencies.
After the 'prank' call, there were many more cancerous remarks/jokes related to the topic and nobody seemed to realize why it was so wrong. Probably because kids like you mainly populate the side-chat on Twitch.

The white knights are funny. Let's be real here, folks. The only reason he was banned was because he said it about a female, if the person was a guy Jagex wouldn't care nearly as much. And neither would anyone else for that matter.
1) The girl was underage and so already in a vulnerable position in terms of peer pressure and impressions from people her age or older, considering streamer was legally speaking an adult, he should have shown a greater deal of maturity. Add on top of that, depression and suicidal thoughts/tendencies, pushed this little stunt from a joke to outright cruelty.
2) As a streamer he had other people watching him, some of whom could have been in the same situation as the girl, what kind of impact do you think it would have had on them if they'd seen the advice of a streamer to someone suffering similar issue to themselves to be "kill yourself" then for him and his mates to laugh like it's the funniest thing they'd ever heard.
3) Again, as a streamer he should know how cruel random people on the internet can be, even if he thought it was just a harmless joke, that little skit could eventually find its way to the girl who would be devastated that someone she trusted enough to confide in about her issues would mock her on a public platform.
4) To the person who said that dark humour helped them get through their depression. Sure, it helped you, sure it helps SOME vets get through the trauma they go through, but it does not help everyone and can do far more harm than good. You have as much authority on how other people react to a joke as everyone else here, no more.
To the guy who cried about his freedom of speech, well, freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence, and is in respect to the freedoms and rights of other private citizens/organisations. By banning the streamer, Jagex and Twitch used their freedom of association to show they do not wish to associate themselves with someone who would play such a prank on a vulnerable individual.
He was immature and stupid in front of a live, public audience who may or may not share his "sense of humour" now he can accept the consequences.
I bet you hovered over here thinking you'll find some lame pun, quote or "philosophical" thought. You wasted your time.
