Hey first of all i am FOR the PvP update, i've been pking for almost 7 years. However i do think JaGex have to be very careful on what they allow/ dissallow.
Lets start of with chatotics. If they were allowed people would only bring mystics / rune as they don't protect over chatoics and ofcourse you can't smite out a chatoic. This makes the max loot what.... 600k? I have chatoic weapons btw so don't try that one.
Overloads - I almost gurantee people bringing 45 brews to magebank. It used to be a joke to say "50 brews left" now that's possible.
Extremes - puts the release of damage soaking back to square one. It's possible to hit 500s with magic in PvP and 800's with melee. How is that right? On top of that... vengeance which puts ure max hit above 990hp. Totally gets rid of the skill and enjoyment of PvP.
Super prays - not too bothered but it does contrabute to not being able to smite out making the loots awful.
Summoning - Coming from me who has 96 summoning i'de rather not have summoning in the new PvP but it wouldn't cause too much trouble. Afterall if everyone had a yak there wouldn't be much point pking in deep wildy.
From all these problems i really hope JaGex realise and create a few pre 2007 worlds for the real pkers. Afterall these would bring back a lot of oldschool pkers and still allow all the prods to pk in the normal worlds :)
DanSup - looking forward to the real runescape. I chose to be a pker because it actually takes skill to be good at (not stats actual skill - tactics, taking risks etc) rather than just no lifing to watch a number raise. In the aim to get a pixelated cape that does next to nothing. Pvp used to be like 10% luck, 90% skill now it's the opposite way round.
Summary for Tl;DR If everyone had chatoics, a pak yak, super pray pots and overloads. What would PvP be like?

I really can't wait, it's been 3years since going into the Wilderness with a Clan to go look for Newbs to fight. I am really excited and I am training this account up ready to be the same as my last account, bring it on!
I voted yes,
Vote yes,
Cas.

I guess it really doesnt matter on the vote any more. if your voting no then yeah thats good for you but your one vote isnt going to get very far. the percentage on who voted yes is at 90% FAR ahead of the other two choices. its ALMOST if not a guaranteed possibility that the free trade and wildy is coming back.
those of us who did not want these two things back will just have to be more careful now.
edit: as goes for the free trade - if your new. try not to get scammed into paying big for something worth a fraction of the price your about to pay. getting rid of the free trade prevented this from happening and kept the money in order among players and items

To all the voters out there who only want the old wilderness back, you cannot bring the wildy back without having free trade.
As this will lead to a situation simmilar to old bountyhunter (transferring through death).

I think you should give players the ability to vote 'YES' for one thing and 'NO' for the other. I'm sure there are many players out there who like the old wildy, but agree with having trade limits. And I'm sure there are also many players who hate the old wildy, but want free trade back. I, for one, would like to vote 'YES' to bringing back the old wilderness, but 'NO' to free trade, as it will ruin the Grand Exchange, and encourage a re-surge in RWT. Not only that, the GE is more representative of real-life supply and demand, whereas free trade allows inexperienced players to get ripped off by other players. If free trade does come back, however, and the GE limits are removed, I hope the GE will still show the current market value of items, so players can make informed decisions about whether someone's asking price is fair or not.
To all those people complaining that the voting system is unfair, I do agree with you to a certain extent. There definitely should be some sort of system in place to prevent people creating new accounts and voting with them, however, not allowing multiple votes from one IP is a ridiculous notion. There are legitimate reasons to vote more than once from the same IP. Some households do have more than one person that plays runescape. There are two players in my household. If you prevented multiple votes from the same IP, one of us would not get our vote. However I do agree that there should be some sort of block on brand new accounts. Perhaps only accounts created on or before 20 dec should be allowed to vote, since the original poll was on 21 dec.
