Bring it back! When the update was applied in 2007 the number of players dropped drastically, including myself and many friends who I made throughout the course of my time playing... Bringing back will have NO cons. I don't care if some low level idiot gets scammed out of his iron armor. Whoop de doo. Low level players don't have anything that's worth crying over losing and you have to get scammed at least a few times to smarten up (I know I've been scammed before and it's not fun, but I got over it). I don't care if people get lured either. If you're not smart enough to realize that walking into the wild with all of your valuables on you is not a good idea, you deserve to lose it all. What it really comes down: USE COMMON SENSE! Not everyone on the internet has your best interests at heart.
As for the wilderness. For the first 7 years of runescapes existence the wild was a place that you actually had to be careful in. There was always a chance that you could lose all of your stuff. But there was also a chance that you could kill someone else for their stuff. I never made any serious money PKing (I made pures that only ever made it to like 40 combat) but it was still a fun time.
Summary: If you vote against bringing the wild and free trade back you are selfish. If you don't want to get PKed, don't go in the wild. If you don't want to get scammed, don't be an idiot. Think you won't make any money with free trade? I used to be able to make millions a day (not scamming, luring, anything dirty) just by using some basic principles of money making (buy low, sell high). It's fair and everyone benefits. It sickens me that people would even consider voting "no" for this.
