Cloudlaws, you're not seeing the point. Before the restrictions of free trading and elimination of the wilderness, there was a time where a lot of people were playing Runescape and none of them were seeing any of these problems that you stated here. Many people quit Runescape because of those updates and I was one of them. I was living only for wilderness and only for my friends in Runescape. When these awful updates struck Runescape, there was a birthday of my friend in a few weeks and I was hoping to give him a pressie in Runescape worth something like 10m. Still after that, it was ruined. I was a rich person back then, I liked free trading, because I was good at merchanting. I got all my wealth through that. As I can see, many of the voters who are voting NO don't really understand what they're getting after the update is done. I hope you won't be so stubborn and will try the old Runescape after the update. It's much more demanding and much more awesome as it requires some knowledge of basic economic skills to survive as it's totally free trade and you can get stuff at the price that people really WANT to sell, rather than having this strange Grand Exchange system where you have to obey the laws.

Have no idea what happened to the 1%. I just quoted a post from the beginning of the thread to show that the poll has stayed basically at exactly the same proportions since it opened.....
What I can not understand is why the pvp worlds are not enough for pkers. If pking was so great. How come that those worlds are almost empty? w117 as the "Dungeoneering world" is on the contrary almost full....
What could be changed to the pvp worlds so that it would suit the people that like to fight and kill other players? Why is that not enough? There you meet the people that choose to fight other players.
Of course it is a certain set of knowledge to fight and kill other players. It is just that I prefer to fight the NPCs cause I like the predictability of those.
How come that you that want the old wildy back want to get the opportunity to fight people that today do not elect to do so (by not playing pvp worlds)?

Yesss!!! Jagex this is the best thing you could do, The free trade allows you to help out friends just starting out at the game, and will help in various other ways, If you dont want to be Pked then just dont go in the wildy, Thats how it was for like 6-7 years! They have said that they will change quests and clues ect, I think its a big job for u jagex, But if you pull it off your gunna be amazing =)

about that GE thing... Its not like Jagex controls over prices.. if people buy on lowest, price goes down, if you buy on highest price goes up. Its very easy to control over prices. They go up/down little by little. Just like they do in free trade. Its not like in free trade people just decide to sell something for 10m higher than it was before.

Iron, I'm afraid you have never been in the old wild. PVP worlds are nowhere near comparable to the old wild. I hope you will realize that when it's back, because eventhough I'm not a pk-er, this will be the update to get me back playing this game. Even if it's only for the adrenaline when you enter the wild, to do a clue scroll or something. It's supposed to be a dangerous place, and I do not think revenants are that dangerous. Pk-ers are.
Can't wait till the old days are back!

Thx very much for making the referendum. I of course voted yes, but i do have a few questions:
When does the voting close?
When do we get our beloved wilderness back?
Why are people crying about treasure trails, when you never get anything good for a reward anyways?
I was at the riot when wild was destroyed. Will the sad 8%, who voted no make a riot too?
Quests and minigames will be relocated. Clan wars is kinda huge. Will it be on an island? Or perhaps underground next to kbd lair? Or maybe will it be moved to south-west falador? Lots of room there ^_^ Will the horrible wilderness ditch/wall be removed?
Have you been planning this for months or did someone at jagex suddenly have a eureka moment?
Plz try to answer these questions or at least read them. :|

Iron, I didn't quite understand what're you asking, but if you're asking why are most of the people who are wanting to get old wilderness back are not playing in those pvp/bounty worlds, then the answer is simple, it's not the same and it will never ever be even near to old wilderness. You had lots of activities back then, clans were actually looking and trying to catch other clans when changing worlds, there was this kind of like free of law thing. It was great, lets say when there was an organized clan war, people would hire some pure/intruders killers who would keep the war safe, and it was awesome that way, it required much more effort than these days. While talking about solo, there were solo zones, where you could fight people, where you were having equal DM's for let's say a saradomin set or a zamorak set to set out who's stronger and have a bigger tension to win the others belongings. It was really a great place, the sad thing is that most of the people are voting NO are pu***es and don't really know what they're talking about. They're crying how could they not enter wilderness to do their clue scrolls or bla bla.. It's actually the point of a good clue scroll, to have some danger and be happy when you get something out of it. The game now is way to easy and not challenging at all. All it requires now is for the most of the time to act like a bot.
