I know my message is going to be a long one, but it is worth the read, it highlights just what might happen as a result of these changes! The four I am worried about are;
1* Unrestricted Free Trade between players
2* Unlimited staking in the Duel Arena
3* The Grand Exchange would remain, but with the lower and upper price limits removed
4* Party Room drop restrictions removed
Points 1-4 all lead to many problems! Lest we forget the trade system changed to how it is today, because of the amount of problems with buying gp, hacking, bots and so on.
Another overlooked problem of bringing back Unrestricted Free Trade is the value of skills! At the moment, in runescape, when you get a 99 you get to wear a cape, to show people you have managed that. The problem is, with free trade, a large amount of skills would become very easy. An example of this would be cooking! At the moment, to get 99 cooking, you need to either collect or purchase the food you need to cook in order to get that 99. This will involve alot of time and effort in getting enough money, or fishing all of the needed food. With free trade, a person with a 99 cape, could have been given the items needed for their 99 for free, off a friend, or just by chance in a drop party. This would mean, apart from some time spent cooking (Which they could always bot) there was no effort in getting the 99, and no skill in making the money to get that 99.
This would mean that many skills would not be "skillful" anymore! Skills such as fishing, thieveing, mining etc. would not be changed because they do require effort and skill, however even combat to some extent would be lessend in value, as you could be given all the runes for 99 mage, or be given full bandos, or a godsword for free, and not have had to work to get that weapon, which in turn speeds up your combat training.
Overall, free trade brings in the idea of free stuff! It would be nice to recieve some to be honest, but at the same time, skills suffer... :
