dude...your reading my thoughts...exactly what i have been trying to explain to these people lol....people used to do clues be wildy got revamped and turned into a playground.
and guess what..they used to get runite ores too..and bones from the grave yard..and white berries..so only these kids who are used to the easy stuff are complaining
but tbh its ok if they leave, runescape would be alot better without them.

I personally feel that this update is a good idea for the game itself. However, I'm looking through this thread and the whole community is cut right down the middle. People need to realize that coming in here and debating the update is fine, but you cannot change a person's opinion easily. Can I propose that we all simmer down and talk about this in a more mature manner?
This is a game. Those against the update, the world won't go to hell if it is done. Jagex has clearly stated:
'We’ve been shutting down bot-makers all around the world and prosecuting people for stealing accounts, and we’ve evolved our systems to quickly detect cheating; however, we will have to accept that we will never completely eradicate cheating so long as there is an incentive and method to do so.'
They are developing the system more and more to catch bots and the such. Why not give it a good run and see if they can control the ones that the update could bring back? Of course, if your only issue is free trading, I personally don't find that the update should increase as much. Just keep your offers strong. Eventually someone will come around and buy whatever you have selling. And your opinions of the wild are, too, important. Personally, I like the idea someone gave earlier of having worlds kept specifically for PvP and then others to allow the wild to be safer. I just personally like the rush of having to outrun mobs.
And for those who are for the update, breath. Being rash and trying to show your opinion brutishly won't persuade anyone. If anything, you're showing Jagex a disrespect by being a player of the game and acting so immaturely.
Of course, this all is just a game. But we can at least hold ourselves higher than what we have been in this thread. From the years I've played, this has been the best community of any game. I'd like to see it strong and for us not to be throwing names around with such disrespect. Just breath and debate. Don't yell or try to shove your opinion at others.

It seems to me that everything is being set up in favour of the "let us kill others campaign" Obviously the Pk worlds arent enough.
If Jagex really want to ruin it for the Skillers then why not leave the revs there. They can then fight it out with the Pkers and hopefully eat each other.
If the wildy must come back, getting rid of the ability to have the dreaded death dot of past would be a start.
Not sure that when it all changes and prob will looking at the vote so far, that the economy can handle it. Far to many abnomalities, like borrow an item and take it in as you cant lose borrowed items.
Good luck Jagex you will need it, espec when a lot of skillers leave and you get some of the scammers back from the past. I hope that you have the procedures planned or in place to deal with these.
And yes you guessed it I did vote NO
I (as well as others) will be watching closely and reviewing my playing position as I am losing faith rather rapidly at the moment.
This may seem like I am bitter and tbh I am about the way this whole thing has been conducted. 2 issues rolled into one vote, a completely sham vote in the first place.

in my experience it is pkers who need to L2P. They ignore anything outside that pking world and have poor trade limits as they do not quest.
Erm some people that pk are far superior in skill than you can ever be. Give me one part of pvm or skilling or questing that is hard? Nothing is. And before you say what's so hard about pking, why don't you try it? You will have the chance to in a few weeks and I guarantee you will not last long at all. We don't ignore everything outside the wilderness... we quest to get better stuff for pking, we skill so that we can quest for those better things. So where's your assumptions now eh?

Just to remind people Runescape has now more players online simultaneously than it had before 2007.
And you pkers here say "gtfo skillers hope you quit" I wonder where you'll get your supplies if those so called "Skillers" arent there to make your equipment/food/pots/runes. This game isnt revolving around PK. There is also PVM. You'd never get your GWD items and abyssal whips etc if there werent PVM players.

how is this aimed to please pkers? wildy hardly has any resources, and it is hardly 10% of runescape, maybe 20% ish..so pkers get 20% and you get the other 80% and you're still envious of our little 20%? skillers are the greedy ones.

are you stupid? i remember when runescape had close to 1m people on at one time. the only time we would see 100-200k people was when they just had an update and people where slowing going back on. please get your facts straight 09er.

Runescape never had 1m ppl online simultaneously every day. I started this game in 2004 so I've pked and skilled back then.
And its Sir TISSI... Tissi=b@@b in finnish.
Edit: Made some calculatin and if each world can have only 2k players before it get full there couldnt have been even 300k players online at the same time.. You get your facts straight before you come to talk.
