Imagine a dungeon that is exactly what comes to mind when you think "hole in the ground". The dungeon is essentially a column of empty space, set in the cold, deep north of the goebie homeland; far from the civilization that any goebie dares venture away from. To reach the Raid Boss situated at the bottom of the dungeon adventurers must be prepared to battle their way through increasingly wave and wave of defenders; while constantly being bombarded by scouts hanging from supports crossing the center of the near-bottomless pit.

As adventurers reach further and further into the pit the onslaught will only become more and more treacherous; with only some of the most dangerous of foes found in the lower levels. Adventurers must not not only have a keen eye to protect themselves from any surprise attacks out of the shadows but also to spot shortcuts to progress through the dungeon more quickly.

The theme will be a desolate and frozen wasteland, seemingly devoid of life; but as you soon become aware of, that is just a ruse. The entire area is patrolled by the scouts of an underground mammalian race. Anything that enters their territory is brought down into the pit to be consumed by the colony. As you enter the pit life seems to thrive again, with thick roots and vines crisscrossing the almost perfectly circular hole. The edges of the pit are angled like a spiral ramp to help descend, but it is not perfect and sometimes unique ways down into the heart of the pit will need to be taken.

* I hope this is the kind of thing you're looking for. Not only did I try to incorporate the scenery and theme of the area but the basic mechanics of how the raid may work. Regardless of what you choose I am very excited for Raids.*

I know ideas should be emailed, I will put here as well in case someone sees this idea and has a better way of doing it =)

I feel we should explore the Abyss a bit more. From many different lore sources, it appears that the abyss has become a sort of dumping ground for banished entities (the old cithrien demon leader and penance king for example), and planet debris and waste (from tuska's wake eg) (as well as the occasional lost wizard from a teleport misfire) I feel that this is the perfect place to explore as a raids idea. It is both otherworldly, and something that has been in runescape for a long time and needs some love (exactly what people want)

This could start with a teleport gone wrong, and you have to find and battle your way back through the abyss, or you are rescuing a lost wizard and finding him or the way out (or even a mixture of both)

From a design perspective, the possibilities are endless, it is the abyss for goodness sake, there is going to be a lot of otherworldly junk and exiles warped and gone mad.

Entrance: Go through a cave down a river and come out the other side to find yourself surrounded by a huge canyon environment. The canyon rock is orange with vines draped over. A few large island plateaus are formed in the middle of the canyon. In the canyon is green and filled with water and fallen rocks.

History: There seems to be an ancient civilization that has lived here before. Broken bridges have granted access to the edges of cliffs leading to the island plateaus. Buildings made from stone on the cliff edges seem to be fortified to prevent intruders but are run down now. What lives there now is a group of Non-native tribesmen who have taken out the early civilization long ago and now live there. The tribesmen are armed with strong throwing hatchets, slingshots, and rock maces. The chief-ten are few but very skilled in combat. They have tamed animals to fight beside them such as eagles, and wolves. Aquatic animals living in the water between the canyons become aggressive.

That's a sneak peak at mine.

I would personally like to see a Raids set in the Wilderness, only in a Third Age version. Maybe, a wizard can open up a portal that bends time and space or something. We would be able to see the forts in their prime, and the Raids would be able to be tied in to the God Wars somehow.

Might I suggest the Enchanted key from Meeting History :P
And back in the third age that place was still Forinthry, and yes: God Wars period Forinthry would make for some interesting raids. To bad it would involve time-travel story writing, which is incredibly hard for people to get right (just watch 90% of the time travel movies, the mechanics just don't make sense).
Thinks Treasure Hunter uses the same mechanics Free**um games, and thereby targets people who are at risk for gambling addiction.

swamp city: its a city made of boats tied together by ropes located on a huge swamp, the boats have houses built on them so they look like floating houses , they form a circle to b able to defend themselves from raids , and people can jump from a boathouse to another and also use buckets to put out fires.

the swamp itself its crawling with all kinds of swamp monsters , so even though people can swim in the swamp they better not take too long or they will b eaten.
