Even when I started to play, people helped others out. =P You see, this is exactly why I mostly only get along with old school players. The whole community from pre trade limits and new wildy was far more friendly, respectful and kinder. I remember people handing over a full set of rune (which was worth a whole lot.) to some low level that they didn't even know, then taking them to where they wanted to go and didn't ask the lower level for a single thing. That attitude is now very rare to see on RS and I truly miss the old school days.
Back then you'd see a high level and instantly, you'd respect them. They'd be the people that anyone back then would look to for advice and would respect. It was because of their respectful attitudes. Some of the high levels now, the newer ones, they know nothing of the respect that their predecessors had and some of the newer lower levels now have no respect for others either. You're either a "noob" low level now or a "nerdy no lifed" high level in the eyes of many of the new kids. Free trade will mean that I can finally go back to being with the community of old school players, the community that I belong with. That I can give lower levels and higher levels a good view of the community once more and help others. Old school players are respectful and friendly, so of course I'll get along with like minded people. =P Nice to meet you, my new forum buddy. Hahaha.
