Does this over-exploit gamers' pockets? Very well. Other games have wrote and scripted in-game bots for you. Mind you, they won't ban you for it. They ALLOW it! Of course though, you have to expense certain energy sources to run these bots. And the in-game prices of these bots are rather dear.
But they function better than some risky external bots that threatens to ban you. And are more efficient too.
I am not saying that jagex ought to follow suit. After all, runescape is runescape. It's playing experience is unique. But what I am trying to put forth here is that the trade limit has gone too far. At that point of time, what my friends and I had in our minds were - "what's going on? Is runescape still a MMO game now?"
All right. you guys might be laughing your heads off. The 09-ers probably cannot relate to our exasperations. Who cares?
I am ready to be flamed. :D
Pick on my english and grammar all you want. This isn't an english lesson but a game forum. And I'm not european or english either, I am chinese.
Neither am I making an effort to put forth a balanced argument. I have no need for that. These three posts are merely the products of me venting my frustration after 2 years of keeping it in.

Putting my 2 cents in, and never reading this again, as i really don't care about the CLEAR minority of opinions.
Jagex didn't have a vote to take the wildy out. They removed it because they had to. They now are confident they can combat RWT and botting effectivly. That means it no longer "has" to be gone. Bring it back. Regaurdless of the amount of votes. As long as majority rules, bring it back.
If they don't have the time to vote no, they clearly don't care either way. The nearly 600k "yes" votes are outrulled by the 55k "no" votes from people who more then likely didn't play in 2006 ruins a chance to bring the game back to the level it was in 2006 (an average of 1/3 more players online on your average saturday then now), I'll be ******.
Botting never left, and neither did RWT. Jagex did a good job, and as long as they are confident they can do this, then bring it on.
Thats my 2 cents. Grammar legends and green dragon legends alike, feel free to poke holes in my logic. I won't be looking at this again.

To those people who say "This will bring back RWT, scamming and botting".
None of those ever left.
If you think they did, you're a fool.
I for one, am ecstatic that free trade is coming back.
As well as the old wilderness, and hopefully old staking.
I'm glad to see the people at Jagex are finally taking a more active role to understand what the community wants.
Before now, it was just "this is what we think, this is what will happen." And now we actually get to vote on what we want. :)

Hmmmm... I think that the wilderness should stay, revenants are scary enough, no need for cold-hearted killers to run around... Well the trade, acctaully free trade would be somewhat better with the G.E system, because if you really need something and your willing to pay more, then you should get that item and it would get rid of the merchant clans somewhat, but i think that then merchants start buying the items with 1 high price and selling then with more higher price, which wouldnt be good either...

I voted for.
The reason for that is because I believe the game was better without restrictions of Free Trade. I never PK'd anyways, so I don't care about the Wildy. (I'd actually prefer THAT left alone for my clue scrolls, lol )
Many other games use a free trade system and a very few amount of persons actually take advantage of this system in order to bypass rules.
Here is my suggestion for the problems that Jagex will face with this:
1. Botting - Work on this, hire more anti-bot crew (whatever their position is called )
2. GoldFarming - Jagex, find a way to scam the gold farmers. Buy their gold and track it. Ban all accounts on a suspicious/foriegn IP (Asia, etc.) -- Technically your property.
3. Scamming? - The people will learn from their mistakes. (lol)
Well, I just want free-trade reinstated into the game, and that's all. This is just my opinion and why I voted for it.
------------------------------------------------------------
This is kinda racist since you asking to ban people from asia, even though the majority are from asia/korea a small percent are legit...also suspicious ip? they could ban some little kid without even knowing..

@ touchmype.
theres a fat WALL you have to jump over to get in the wildy. If they're such a idiot they cant read the message that warns you the wildy is dangerous, then me taking their pixils is teaching them a life lesson. It's called pay attention. agreed?
