@40 Creek
Are you and your clan that simple minded that you think that the wilderness will be "off limits to paying members who do not like the idea of killing other people." That is what the wilderness was created to be. A dangerous place for people to kill eachother. It has and will always be there for you to go to except that the original dangers will be back.
I do agree however that the two decisions should be on different polls. The fact is that they are not separate and I do not think that Jagex will change the poll since it has been out for 5 days now.

I cannot believe my eyes looking at the argument for keeping things the way they are:
"The wildy will be dangerous again!"
In case you haven't been around long enough to figure this out, the wilderness was always SUPPOSED to be dangerous.
People don't ask to change how fire works because they'll get burned: That's stupid. If you really don't want to deal with a dangerous section of the runescape map, just avoid it. There are so many people that like to have a section of the game be hunter vs. prey, it added another element of thought and planning to the game. The same goes for free trade.
It seems the newer people in runescape would have no way of knowing that. If you need to think about anything, it's automatically bad. Get a grip. Vote Yes.

people say there is nothing bad that can happen over free trade... there is in a video game. I give you 10 USD on eBad then pay you 1gp on the game. It's free trade all right, but it shifts to reall USDs at the auction sites just like it did a few years ago.

I voted no because I don't like the potential return of massive real-world-trading.
Also, I wouldn't like to see the GE funtions (min/med/max prices) removed.
I strongly suggest to keep a "med price" funtion, so people have an idea of an item's value when trading in the GE. I could imagine new players trying to buy full rune for 20K and waiting for a never-completing offer...

The vote is about free trade & wildy, I've seen few conceptual arguments against them in this thread directly.
As for things indirectly related:
They better clues easier. =P 'nuff said about that.
Regarding scamming, there's more than enough solutions. Keeping trade values in the trade window will help partially (GE and its price tracking will still exist). As for items going up/down in value, people are getting scammed of them already. Scammers won't run rampant. You can't switch out items anymore either because they already made the red flashing bar as a warning. Luring over the wildy wall? Anyone who is afraid of scamming coming back large scale hasn't paid attention to updates.
Regarding random drop system in pvp today, I never was into pvp much.
Should you really be given access to 1m drops starting from a low level?
Isn't part of pvp using skill to take down someone with better equipment?
The wilderness use to be dangerous, not so much anymore. Some people miss that.
And activity locations can be adjusted, obviously. Not sure what they'll do about Shooting stars though. =P
Out of the 600 pages, I'm guessing 4000 posts are positive/in defense of the update, 1500 posts are about side concerns, and 500 are actually arguments against it.
As for the referendum, 8% vs. 90% is too much to account for error.
I voted "Don't mind" =)

Jagex has already said that there will still be a middle price at the GE. They just said that they would remove the upper and lower prices. The GE will still be able to allow players to see the average prices for items to help from getting cheated out of their money.
