I do not understand people crying about the wildy. "Oh my god, I might get killed while doing clue or other activities!"
Before THE update, loads of people just went to wildy and fought for their lifes to get their clues done. Now there are some lazy, scared pigs who can't outstand that there are people in the wilderness, who might even kill you! Grow up guys, you think we had fun while being in wildy for other activities? Just get used to it and let the real fights started!
And what about free-trade. Well, some people can't understand what opportunities this update gives. Oh there will be bots! They just mine ores and cut logs, will keep the price low, so you won't cry about pricy items!
In brief: to many spoiled kids! ;)

Personally, as playing runescape for 5-6 years, I would like to see free trade back. It is that that first got me into the game. Sure, I was scammed a whole bunch in the old wilderness, but I kept my head held high and went back and picked flax or whatever I did. My friend was about to give me an abbysal whip, mind you, that is more money than I have ever made. (poor lolol) But when that update came back on, I pretty much quit and I did not play for 3 years, only on and off.
Like the above user said, bots WILL keep the prices low. Not that I am encouraging this, but you can't really stop botters completely.

Personally i think this would be a terrible idea. Not only would it destroy almost everything jagex has worked so hard to achieve over the past 3 years (God... Has it really been that long) regarding real money trading. I think there are positives to it as well but really weigh them up. I want to see the resurrection of the wilderness but don’t want to see free trade but i know you can’t have one or the other... The thing i will hate the most about it being brought back though is the fall of GE, sure world 1 and 2 will most likely become a marketing haven again but it was incredibly hard to buy particular items. It would put people off quests and frustrate people; massive revenue will be lost! Look at the two options side by side:
Bring it back:
-Some people are happy; they can now scam new players again and sell to the desperate at high prices.
- The prices of items will sky rocket with the fall of management over them.
- It makes questing and skilling in some aspects much harder and less profitable. (E.g. acquiring 1000 green dragon hide for crafting)
- Many players will quit due to the unfairness of rich players over dedicated commitment
Don’t bring it back:
- The people that voted yes will be moderately upset but will continue as if nothing had happened, maybe complain a bit.
- Questing and skilling would remain much easier and faster
- The number of people playing would remain relatively the same.
Also this voting system is a bad method. Did you not look at the results for the vote on how many people actually communally use the forums and even that is not many of the players of runescape. This is currently a unfair vote and should be managed properly giving players who don’t know what it was like a bit of an insight in what it would insure (I.E tell them how had questing and skilling will be and the unfairness it would have) This entire voting process or rather "Phase 2&****; should be approached differently.

The idea of bringing back free trade is wonderful, but I must agree with some of the others that it would be nice to have some worlds where the Wilderness is like how it now. I mean, I like exploring, and I also like having risk-free adventures (or at least, Godsword-free adventures). It has also been pointed out that some things (like treasure trails) will remain until further notice. It would be nice to have some worlds with a PvP free Wilderness.
As for those who bring up the idea that these updates cured botting, I feel that I should humbly remind you of Soul Wars. Thousands of people use programs to cheat at it, earning zeal and keeping honest players out of the game. Of course, there seems to be other areas for bots to visit, such as Hunter areas and whatnot.

@miss sam sam, if you think what you are doing now is pking, thats just the beginning of pking how it was back in 2007, pking in 2007 was much more better then how it is now. Alot more action, fun. I mean now in pvp worlds and bounty worlds you ask to someone if he wants to fight with you. Or you get asked to fight with someone. In the wildy everyone who could attack someone, he did, doesnt matter what someone was wearing or what his skills were. Much more fun, my opnion :) .

Just putting my opinion out there.
Some of these ideas are good and some I don't like so much**
**. I really like the idea of free trade, however I don't like that GE min and max prices will be gone. I like to have them there as I guide, even if you don't make them set prices, just guide prices or something?? And wildy old wildy was awsome but maybe just make it in a few worlds like it is now??
Anyway that is my opinion so let me know what u think of my ideas and I'll reply. :)

@Cpt Ashos
Your reasons are ridiculous
Bring it back:
-Some people are happy; they can now scam new players again and sell to the desperate at high prices.
-- that's not at all why 89% of the 90% of players voted YES.

- The prices of items will sky rocket with the fall of management over them.
-- Many prices will rise, many will fall, just like they did when Jagex took away free trade and wild
- It makes questing and skilling in some aspects much harder and less profitable. (E.g. acquiring 1000 green dragon hide for crafting)
-- Actually it makes things much MORE profitable but dangerous, just like it was. Tons less players (especially you spoiled ones) will want to go kill green dragons because you're scared of getting killed and therefore those materials will become much more valuable.
- Many players will quit due to the unfairness of rich players over dedicated commitment
--Many spoiled players will quit, but at least 75% of Jagex's old community will return. When I say spoiled I mean
you are so used to having everything so easily come to you and everything so safe. No one other than the pre-2007 players know what it's like to have free trade and a dangerous aspect to the game.
Don’t bring it back:
- The people that voted yes will be moderately upset but will continue as if nothing had happened, maybe complain a bit.
-- Actually, the people that voted yes will be extremely angry. It's like giving slaves a tiny taste of freedom then taking it away. They'd be giving players a tiny taste of what fun Runescape was like and then taking it away.
- Questing and skilling would remain much easier and faster
-- But why should it be? How is it fun to do a clue or a quest in 10 minutes with no danger? Why do people want this? Why don't people want it to be somewhat dangerous?

- The number of people playing would remain relatively the same.
-- As opposed to if you bring it back, where the number of players would sky rocket.
