The G.E will still stand, and whether you follow the prices or not is up to you as a player, but many people will try to increase the values well beyond what players can afford. Everyone will become greedy and only interested in themselves. Why should I sell my shark for 1k each when the guy down the road is selling them at 1.5k each? I want to get just as much and not be left in the dark. The trade limit makes it fair for everyone.
Lastly, the voting:
The voting system only asks for an account name, and not a login (with pass), so you can enter ANYBODY'S name from the Runescape Highscores and you are added to the vote. I don't want to vote yet people have already done it using my account name. What a joke!
Although, I think that the update will not go through. I say this because if 30 people vote Yes, but 70 vote No, then 100 people have voted, with 30% wanting the update. At the moment, 900,000 have voted, so how many have not voted? How does Jagex know I do not want this update? Simple: I would say there are about 10 million Runescape accounts. So far, 900,000 have voted Yes, so 9,100,000 have voted No. This way, even INACTIVE AND DEAD account class as No, so you will lose either way.

I think it's silly how everyone assumes alternative motives behind the scenes. Where is there proof that it is a scam, an RS Fraud, a "Guiness" attempt, or even illegitimate? It's very possible that Jagex just made a 'DERP' and fouled it up.

(Petree) I don't think there was even a subject in that sentence. "o.O
Oh well. I'm kinda disappointed with this thread. It's just a mish-mosh of people disrespecting other players' opinions. There is really nothing constructive about it.

The entire reimplementation of both the older version of the Wilderness and Free Trade, at first I had mixed feelings, then I had rather strong, negative feelings towards it, primarily due to me believing that it would cause far more harm than good.
Although I am still reluctant whether or not this will ultimately affect RuneScape positively, the current plan and confidence that Jagex is progressing with has caused me to vote for the Wilderness and Free Trade to return, however, as I said before, I am still hesitant on whether this will cause good or harm. The most notable of concerns I have have already been answered, and that being said, I honestly wish for both of the rather desired aspects of RuneScape, the older version of the Wilderness and Free Trade, to return. This, however, is only because Jagex has stated they have confidence in their cheater detection system, thus has led me to confide my trust into them that all cheaters will be punished severely for their honour lacking ways.
My opinion towards this entire topic, however, will change greatly if I discover that Jagex's cheater detection system actually was not as effective as they were confident enough to claim it to be, and that too my opinion will turn very negative towards the former Wilderness and Free Trade being reimplemented, and Jagex itself.
Unfortunately, one must admit the community will be affected by this, for it seems hordes of noticeable, immature, and rude players have returned to RuneScape, although this is somewhat expected with many players returning. The stereotype that all player's who quit RuneScape when the Wilderness and Free Trade were removed are immature, unfriendly, and rude is definitely not true, but it does seem like a prominent number of those players are indeed immature, unfriendly, and rude.
In simple words, I truly hope things go smoothly for both Jagex and the community.
Best regards,
~Vandite - Happy holidays :D !
Just your friendly neighborhood team player.
