There are several things that concern me, though. As mentioned prior, Real World Trading becomes slightly easier, but I'm not too concerned. Primarily because RWT is so easy now. I won't mention any specific ways, though.
The second thing is that whole PVP drop system. Not sure if EP is going to be maintained still, or if it is just going to be a "drop all their items" thing. I personally would prefer to keep a bit of the EP system, since I would like those random rare kills I score to have a chance of getting a PVP armor/weapon.
I guess there are just a lot of tiny details that really need to be hammered out. It might end up being my next project after damage soaking.
The second thing that I worry about is free trade's effect on not only the G.E., but also trade in smaller items in general. Selling half-coconut shells to people wanting super compost won't be nearly as easy once everyone stops using the *.*. I am assuming they will stop using it, since players already use junk trading to bypass limitations and deal with the inflation in the game. Free trade means no more price control, so I expect desireables to nearly double in their current price.
Also, if you can sell for any amount on the G.E., and bid any amount on the G.E., this means that the G.E. becomes less of a reliable system, since you are not aware of what is being sold, how much it's being sold for, or how much to bid on it. A bunch of kids will put up things like rune full helms for millions in gold, just to be funny, and you can't tell whether or not their trying to RWT or are just being stingy like in other MMO's with free trade.
The G.E. would need to be improved, particularly to a list of the past values in which the item you bid on have been purchased, and also the amount of those kinds of items being sold. That way you aren't just swinging wildly at some phantom piñata that may not be there.
I take this from my experience in other MMO's, of course.
