agent, you really think that the majority of players don't want this update? I mean, jeez, its just a game. Who cares if someone else can get 99 wc faster than you can and without playing? does it really do anything to you?

yes, they cheapen the capes and such. they cheapen the game.
does it do anything to you if you kill someone and get nothing compare to what they lose? its the same thing for skillers as this is for you.
considering that the majority of players are either skillers or questers (who have to do skills to do quest) or minigamers (who have to do skills to be able to do many minigames, either from quest or the requirements for minigame) and considering how much the skillers will lose from the return of the wild and ft, then yes, i believe the majority are not for it.

who wants to spend hours getting back their pouches because some pker wanted and easy kill and a fast glory, or ring of dueling.
who wants to spend an hour running down a clue trail only to hand over everything he got to a pker camped on a treasure trail spot and world hopping? frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

if they keep the skilling spots inthe wild, they need to leave the revs and even make them more powerful to be able to threaten the pkers standing around.

There is at least 500,000 legit players that voted, most likely way more than that. But even if only half of the voters are legit players, there would still be more yes than no. If the greater majority of players didn't want old wildy and free trade then that means less than 100,000 players voted. You might want to study your math some more kid.
prove that 500k players voted for it.
many pkers made muliple accounts to pk with, and they voted with everyone of them. skillers and questers only use one.
rwters made thousands and voted with all of them.
if you look at the history of polls for rs, you find that only a small fraction (less than 100k) vote on most of them. why would you expect 10 times that many to vote on this one. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

iv played in both the new and old wilderness i prefer the old one.. it is alot more dangerous but all in all its just a game. I stoped playing after *the old wildy* was taken away it just got boring i logged on now and then to see how it was getting on... but *ingers crossed this is accpected and we have the return of the good old days

Agent people against the vote can vote just as many times as the people for it.
skillers dont have multiple accounts to vote with. pkers usually have 3 to 8.
Where are you coming up with random figures? 12% of runescape players are pkers?..
it isnt random, and its not 12 percent pkers, its 8 % pker and 4% merchants. thats from a poll taken in 2007 just months before the updates that removed those. jagex tried with a series of polls to prove that pking was a major part of the game, but they failed to do so.
.*** PK is one of the only reasons to play the game. EVERYONE I know that plays or played RS did so for the PK...
thats because pkers were a seperate community. of course the ones you played with were pkers because they were part of the same mindset.

a merchant is someone that plays the game mostly to make money from standing around buying and selling. they dont do skills, they dont do quest, and they dont pk. that eliminates 96 % of the players.

actually, for the cost, no there isnt any better mmos. other games take a long time to update or you have to buy new cds/dvds ever so often. so they dont come out with new quest very often.
personally, i dont see the point in pking or dueling. all your doing is based on luck, with little skill involved. there are much better games that demand skill on your part for pvp. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

Gad Zook, firstly, you're incorrect to call it "Mine".
It is hosted by a large number of players.
Secondly, please note I said that "Some of the people clicked yes by mistake" That means that any number of the "Yes" voters could be "No" voters who have been, for now shall we say, tricked into voting "Yes". So the 1 Million "Yes" voters could very easily be halved. You never know.

Bob, a lot of people agree with him, I'm slightly peeved actually. Runescape has been going along fine, and now they want to bring back something they tried so desperately to remove? It's extremely counter-productive. Either the number of people rioting or botting will increase to an insanely large amount, or Jagex will become spammed with all the "Report Players" coming in. I love having to walk through Wilderness to get to Clan Wars, and trying to mine Mithril in the middle but keeping a close eye out for Revs. Runescape is an awesome game the way it is. Leave out old Wilderness, bring back free trade.
That's all that needs changing. ^_^
