I chose to not vote because although this referendum does allow players to say "Yes", "No", or "I don't mind", there are still flaws that I see. I would rather vote on a referendum if I were given more choices on what it was exactly that I wanted.
For free trade, I feel that there should be a limit between players who have just met each other. Keep the current limit in place for those new friends. However, for players who have been friends for a period of time (1 month, 3 months, or 6 months) to be allowed to have free trade. This would eliminate the RWT and bot problem while giving the players who have been with each other through all the updates and gameplay changes the freedom that they deserve. I have been a player since '04, and although I didn't like the changes at first, I have learned to deal with them and grow fond of them.
For the wilderness, I don't think that it should be brought back in its entirety. Many players like the new wilderness and would rather see changes to make parts of the wildy like the old wilderness. For example, you could limit the old wildy to certain worlds like you do pvp and +1 worlds, or the old BH craters. The people that want to pk can do so at their choosing, and players that want to do their clues, go corp, and slay iron dragons at the new frozen castle can do so without interference from pkers. This, I feel, would save Jagex a lot of time also because they would not have to change around locations such as Corporeal Beast, Clue scrolls, etc.
I feel that the voting choices should be changed. We, as players, need to be given more than three options. Below are some examples of choices:
- Free trade to friends for over 3 months (trade limit applied to friends of less time)
- Free trade with everyone, no matter the time limit
- Free trade to friends for over 6 months (trade limit applied to friends of less time)
- Bring back wildy only in some worlds
- Bring back wildy in all worlds
