Bringing the old Wilderness and free trade will be the best thing that has happened in runescape since it was taken away. How many players has runescape lost since then? Players that might not even get a chance to vote because they have quit runescape because of the update. Why wasn't this opportunity up days after it was taken away? I suggest for people who say they have been scammed in trades not to be so naive. Back then and somewhat but not really now, Runescape had the best PVP system of any game out there. I personally have searched for a PVP system like runescape that a person can get drops according to what your oponents were risking and could find none like it. Please just bring back Old Runescape!!

I think the voting system is a bit unfair as you don't have to log-in so you could just go onto hiscores and type in a bunch of ppl's names. I also don't want the old wildy back as it will make many activites much more dangerous like green drags.
ALso...to all the people calling others "nerds" or "complete noobs" because they say no the wildy, please stop. Everybody is entilted to their own opinion. Everybody can say what they want and put up arguments, but don't start insulting people because their views differ from yours. Same to anyone who insults Pkers and ppl for the WIldy, as they are entitled to their opinions as well.

Oh My GOD!!! I just had a great idea!! Since I started posting on this thread, I have been having thoughts about private servers and whatnot flying around, trying to think of something
Jagex, I recommend this:
Set aside some servers, and change them to the ways Old RuneScape was, with free trade and wilderness (of course, keep all updates so far). Then, gives players the option to PERMANENTLY switch their accounts over to those servers. That way, they can have what they want, and we can have what we want.
If you do, make sure the markets of both server types cannot influence the other.

@pie, agree with what your saying a bit BUT the green drags thing would be a good thing, it is well know that green drags is a very popular spot for botters ;) jagex really doesnt like them much.

You know what's funny? The only people posting here are against it because the vast majority of the community would love to have these things back and are going onto the poll to vote for it.
Sure, cheaters could have easier chances to do what they do. But if you think about it, they will continue to cheat whether or not this update happens (just like when the wild was taken away in the first place).
You were scammed or lured and you lost a lot of valuable stuff? That's your fault. Jagex shouldn't have to install a failsafe to keep you from doing something stupid.
Removing the trade limit and bringing back the wild is almost any old player's dream. That was when you could help friends out with cash and items**** with clans and give/get real fair shares of loot, have drop parties or hide 'n' seek events during 99 parties or clan events.
The update would bring some small negatives, but they would be massively overwhelmed by the fun and originality that would be brought back to the game.

alright ill agree with some people that with the old wilderness will make it unsafe for players to bring good gear with them into the wilderness, but it brings us back to are original roots of the game. A few good things about the old wilderness, less over populated Bounty hunter worlds for starters, less people killing green dragons due to the fact they could die "haha i like that one" and best of all Rev's will hopefully be gone, most players don't teleblock you unlike Rev's.

now about the Free trade i see this as a good thing, no more "clans" to manipulate the Grand exchange, even thought this opens the door for scammers a little more but wait a second jagex added a notification wile trading that shows if the trade has been altered. i think that with Free trade its more of a players Responsibility to Prevent Scams from happening Jagex can give us the tools but in the end its down to the player him/her-self to be wise with your money.
about the Grand exchange i believe that jagex has a plan to do something that will benefit the community and economy of the game. i cant wait to see what they do with the GE.
Jagex i fully support the idea of Free trade and the bringing back of the old wilderness i hope it gets passed and you hard workers can bring the new generation of runescape players the Glory of the good old days
