As someone who has played runescape fairly consistently for the past five years or so i am quite proud to see that the reality of the situation has finally had such an effect that this referendum became a necessity. the reality being that runescape has been slowly dying ever since the day the wilderness was destroyed. and dont be confused, runescape is a wonderfully fun game, but it never would return to its former glory if the wilderness didnt return. Runescape, as fun as it is now, simply ages, quite quickly in fact, it becomes repitition and thats why so many people (myself included) have 3, 4, or 5 different accounts we play. simply because your "main" gets boring. maybe you reached the point where it takes hours of repetitive training to level up. and mini games are great, but you cant get enough experience to make it worthwhile. the obvious answer was once simply, "lets go pk some noobs" make some money, bond with some friends, and recieve the most fun batch of xp you could ever get. running throught the wildy for 5 minutes and managing to snake yourself full rune was the greatest feeling in the world. a feeling that bounty worlds could never dream to match. The simple reality is; if the wilderness was such a bad thing, jagex never would have put so much time and sweat into emmulating it the best they could. Why recreate something that you yourself thought was no longer needed, or wanted? Because an overly hasty and obvious mistake was made, and it was the best they could do to fix it.
I am quite proud that runescape will finally be returning to what it once was, the REAL best online game there is. I cant even begin to dictate how many times i have heard that runescape lost its edge because of the loss of the wilderness and free trade, the things that made runescape what it once was. The day these things return is the day i begin to play this game consistently again. and i do believe i speak for roughly 90% of this games players. as the poll clearly shows.

I agree with Texas on the issue of the wildy, but cannot support the bringing back fo free trade. Merch clans have become massive. Without trade limit they could make prices whatever they wished them to. They could literally crash an item by milloins in 1 night. I feel that it needs to be two seperate votes, because i feel everyone wants wildy back to the good old days. Although i dont believe everyone wants free tarde back. It a way it is almost like a pin-on change. I have seen many updates over the years that i thought would ruin the game. The free trade may make a unstable economy within runescape. It would make the first update that truly ruins it. But i will leave it to the people of runescape to decide. If u believe there should be 2 seperate polls, then say so. Enjoy the game and have fun! :)

i am a player since 2005 and im still only lvl 91 members.
the reason being i got hacked in 2008.
got it back in 2009.
quit about 2 months later.
im pretty sure im not the only one to quit seeing as all my friends have so the was the half of it.
i voted for the wildy and trade.
Jagex has done a amazing job at keeping botters out.
ive even seen people who botted turn out real players because there botted account got banned.
I DO NOT DOUBT ANYTHING JAGEX DECIDES
I PERSONALLY BELIEVE JAGEX IS READY TO FIGHT THE RWT AND SCAMMERS/LURERS
WE HAVE TO HELP THEM GET RID OF BOTTERS.
MAYBE THEY JUST NEED MORE PEOPLE REPORTING.

@Messer what you don't understand is that merching clans aren't really that big, if they combined sure they'd be but they aren't. Anyways, we can make the prices whatever the hell we want after the update comes, thats the great thing, there is no system to abuse because we are the system.

The grand exchange gives merch clans their powers. Without the grand exchange you can easily go to the old buying/selling spots such as fally park, seers bank, varrock west bank and easily get a price for it's actual amount or close to the amount.

Messer, im glad you feel the same as i do on the wilderness issue. Now on the issue of free trade when you talk about trade clans crashing an items entire economy, and do correct me if i misunderstand, if free trade is brought back and the grand exchange no longer sets trade limits or suggested price levels. they really couldnt crash an item on a large scale such as the grand exchange. in say one bank in varrock, or maybe both they could make people believe the price of the item is whatever they wish (which was one problem with free trade, undeniably) but as far as crashing the whole item i dont see that really happening due to the grand exchange no longer having set prices. correct? and as i said, if im off base, or dont quite understand, do tell.
