The Unfrgivn
"Being scammed is for fools, I agree with Aceface completely on that fact. This game has always catered to the lowest denominator, and now they are doing something for everybody else, and the same lowest denominator that opposed these things in the first place is up in arms again.
Not to say that everyone who opposes this is unintelligent, but a majority are. I have seen many pathetic complaints and changes in the game during my time playing, all of which were made by and implemented for that same lowest denominator.
A rule against luring is the perfect example. If you are foolish enough to be lured into the wilderness where it says you can die, and there is a ditch preventing you from easily entering, and there are signs giving you warning, and you lose all of your stuff then you simply deserve to lose all of your stuff.
More to the point, opposing free trade is strange for those who are intelligent enough to check the second trade window, and heed the new red edited trade warning. The grand exchange can still function, but now you will set your own prices.
Pking will make wilderness involved objectives more difficult to accomplish I understand, but it is something that was and will be enjoyed by the masses. This will only make the game more challenging. I won't go into the RWT aspect, because Jagex says they will have that under control."

Sorry Texas i wasnt very clear in my post. I was speaking of them making people believe what the price of an item is. And i understand that without G.E. with would have control of prices mostly. I just have slight fear that they will try to trick people into thinking what the prices are. I hope that it brings back the old more stable economy of runescape when you didnt lose tons of money when you buy gear or such.

I'd say the argument of players getting tricked into the wildy is moot... There's a big wall and you can always see players fighting on the other side. Not to mention the numerous warnings that the Jagex team has instated. If, even after ALL possible red flags, somebody unwittingly walks into a trap, well then it was his fault. There has to be SOME excitement.

wonderful point arKa1c, as a new player i was once lured and player jumped due to there being no wilderness ditch nor pop up warning. now that these things have been implemented there truly is no excuse for being victimized in this way other than ones own intelligence, or lack there of in this case.

Pepse, they know the warnings lol. It's like those kids that used to run around in level 1 wearing a phat. They forget to turn on protect item and die and want to flame everyone.

I have been a player of Runescape since so called "Classic" I have been on and off for a while always attempting to come back in hopes that the game I loved would be here. The game isn't the same at all. People have complained about being scammed and being hacked, that's just part of the game. If you fall into a trap such as "Give me your dragon ______ and I'll enter a code to make 2 for you." or something around those lines then you made that mistake.
Free trade offered players more then just giving someone something without them giving anything in return. It offered friends the ability to help their friends who just started the game or returned to the game with money or armor. I was hacked before I quit and I came back worked for all new items when my friend could have easily given them to me if allowed, or at least some money to start me out. No one wants to be lvl 92 with 12g and no items.
The wilderness I haven't been in since its change. It just isn't fun anymore in my opinion. Yes it's a risk to bring back these old ways but a risk that could change the game and bring it to a funner brighter future.

Texas Wreckk, you are the star here, very touching and right on the head. My friends and I mourned the day this greatest game was destroyed as we were leveling our character purely for pking. The same friends that joined me in foot races for the free computers at the library just to see an hour or two of this game. The feelings that overcame us as we talked and thought about the game were so extraordinary it became an obsession, not even an unhealthy one at that. We do not regret spending such time on this awesome game, it made me so many friends, so many connections, I type almost 40-50 words per minute, something my school could not provide in teachings? Thank you RuneScape!
I've learned so much from this game, life now is easier for me because of this game. The typing alone landed me my current job which now keeps me very comfortable. You're not my life RuneScape, but you've definitely lended a hand.
