I would like to say to a previous poster that to for Jagex to "have their cake and eat it too" probably isn't as easy as it sounds.
Are you suggesting that some worlds have the trade limit and wildy worlds and others not? First off, I don't see the point in that, people would just change worlds to get around it when they wanted too (the trade limits)
As for the wildy, that would possibly over crowd worlds, and personally me included, I think alot of people liked stalking the lower pop worlds in the wildy, the lonely feel before you see a figure in the distance, not knowing if they will attack of not... it could be very suspenseful.
I would also like to ask that you do NOT make generalizations about Pkers, or any player(s) for a matter of fact. Stereo-typing isn't going to help your case, as it implies ignorance.
Many PKers Pk for different reasons. It has nothing to do with ego or bragging. Yes, a few 12-14 year olds might brag about what kills they got, but that does not represent all Pkers in the same way that any two rocks would represent all rocks... there are many kinds of rocks composed of different compositions, and so is the same as people, and in this case, Pkers. Not every Pker PK's for the same reason.
Actually, I will list all the reasons I have ever known for ppl to PK to prove this point.
Fun
Competition
As a Source of Income (a lot actually used to do this)
To Settle Disputes
A way to use up extra funds in a fun way
The thrill of the chase
adrenaline seekers who love to barely escape death from Pkers (my personal fav)
To be part of a team (Clans)
Out of boredom
To test their abilities
Also, if we wanted "carnage", why would we look for it in a pixelated world of Runescape? Surely they would go be immature on another game like you said... runescape is poorly suited for that type of gameplay (carnage/extreme violence)
