You must be thinking about when they did the colored text for large groupings and the flashing exclamation mark when something was removed.
I remember pretty clearly it was there.
And by the way, it was December of 07' when they removed the wilderness, which they never did without warning. One day it was there, the next... gone. Now they gave us a heads up on the trade limit, but never the wildy. Why do you think so many people were bitter for so long?

R u i,

Are you an idiot? or just dumb.

1)scamming
2) huge amount of account hackings
3) pk'ing people while they try to skill (abbys)
4) no more green drags
5) item scamming (taking to wildy and killing)
6) everybody asking for cash, i've had atleast 5 people (my friends) ask my to buy them full bandos each cause "apparntly" i'm rich for having 99 rcing.

if people would listen to 2 sides, you would understand, exept people are so stubon and only read what they want to hear
-------------------
1) Scamming was never a problem. The only people who got scammed were those too stupid to check their trade windows and new players. We now have TWO trade window checks and a price gauge. If you can get scammed now, just leave Runescape.
2)Accounts only get 'hacked' when naiive players get tricked into thinking that giving their details to someone will give them mod status or the like. That can happen just as easily today without free trade/wildy as it can with them; it has NO effect on account 'hacking'. Your argument is invalid.
3)People got around that Pre-07 and will do so when wildy comes back. Bring 1-click teleports, or logout quickly. World hop often to find empty worlds. Run to dangerous areas to avoid PKers. Sorry that jagex isn't babying the incompetent players anymore; now you have to actually be careful when you're in a place meant to be DANGEROUS.
4)They have always been in the wilderness, in both locations, and they always will. Likewise, people killed them in the pre-07 wildy as well. Get used to it.
5)Luring is only a problem for noobs, again. After the first time, you learn your lesson - unless you're an absolute idiot. Common sense tells you not to follow people were they can kill you, anyways.
6)IGNORE THEM OR TAKE OFF YOUR RC CAPE. God, you're awfully ignorant.
People need to realize that Runescape Pre-07 was the most economically stable, populated and interesting time of the game. They just don't want to have to readjust, which is pathetic.

@Dynan3: I find PKing much more fun than skilling and that is the reason I quit years ago. Personally I have nothing against separate worlds for everything.
Though Jagex has said that they would be relocating everything away from the wilderness, but I have to agree with some of the previous comments: we had to do clues and stuff the hard way back in the days.
And as for the stereotype PKer with closed mind about this issue at hand..? Not everyone who loves to PK is unintelligent ego maniac who just has the need to make other people feel bad for their own benefit.
We don't all deserve to be called heartless monsters. -.-
If I prefer to PK because it feels more like interacting with other players by having a fight of exictement against them instead of doing (in my opinion) boring quests or endless lonely clicking to level up some skills - does that make me ego maniac or something? :O
PS. I have nothing against you or anyone else who doesn't want to PK, it's just that why do we all have to be divided against each other instead of trying to make this game better for all of us? = PKing in some worlds for example or like Jagex is going to do: relocation relocation relocation.

when in any of my posts did i say i was a "veteran"??? i didn't did i?

All my posts were to claim that i played back than, people should learn to read, maybe people should go back to school, i don't need to cause i'm having a successful life.
All i said was people "claimed" that they were from back then, which people do say that, and it's a load of *** like ur comments above..
If you are a so called "veteran" wouldn't you have more skills? wouldn't you have higher game time?
------------------------------
Skills and Game time don't matter. Most veterans have multiple accounts, and not all of them are maxed out.

@Peeping Frog
You don't do sarcasm at all do you?
The irony of you telling me to go back to school when my username probably gives away the fact I am actually doing a degree in Physics at a higher level of education than you could've probably ever hoped to aspire to, given how illogical your arguments are and how narrow minded, ignorant and arrogant you are coming across. But hey, don't worry - we're all idiots ;)
As a side note, I'm not the one bragging about how long I've played and contrary to popular belief, not all Runescape players are mobility scooter bound stereotypes, many of us are athletic and have lives and education to get on with, hence I'm not "maxed out". That is not to say that those who are maxed out are either.
