Bringing back the wilderness and free trade will be great for this game. Nobody goes into the wilderness anymore because it's terrible. All that you can do is fight some overpowered Revenants that might drop 200 gp.
Also, to the people who don't like this because of possible scamming, give me a break. I've been scammed a couple times in my years of playing, and it's a learning experience. Scamming teaches new players to be more careful with their possessions and money, so as crazy as it sounds, I like the fact that scamming will exist, although I would never scam anyone myself.
Many players think that botters will steal their yew logs and rune essence. They are right; however it's really not that bad. I've cut yews with 10+ bots around me and it's just something you learn to live with: you report them and continue on cutting. Complaining about bots mining rune essence is pretty ridiculous considering that even without bots rune essence mining is pretty terrible money. Bots will just make prices better for runecrafters and allow actual rune essence miners to expand their horizons and find more exciting ways to make even faster money.
Real-world trading may be the only legitimate excuse for an argument against free trade and wilderness; however consider this: real-world trading still exists, just not in the same magnitude. Essentially, the con of free trade is an increase in real-world trading, while the pros destroy this con. The reintroduction of free trade and the old wilderness will be extremely beneficial to the overall experience of Runescape as a whole.
